Hi dudes I have done 1 wheel in black plastidip to see what it would look like black,if I go ahead I will get the glossifire for them to do the lot,
Now I have only sprayed the front of the alloy and bunged the wheel nuts just incase it was a nightmare to peel off, here's some stage by stage pics will post one in morning of daylight view.I think it makes my green calipers stand out more too.
All going well will do the lot black gloss let me know your thoughts
Dudes

Good job, you gunna do the rest? I really wanna do my front grills with plastidip.
I did my front grill with plastidip buddy. And the bit behind the licence plate, I hve a grey car so doesn't show up as much as white car but gives you an idea

And Shaun you know how I feel about your dipped wheel. Top job. It looks brilliant,

Awesome mate. A coat of glossifier on those would make them look the dogs danglies.

When you come to spray them properly don't fill the nut holes in. Spray in side those for full coverage. also don't put the bag on the inside of the wheel. It will help get the coverage on the complete face as I can see it missed slightly on the inside of the spokes. It won't be visible once on the car and helps give it a professional look. When it comes time to peel it off. Peel it off the front and then take an old towel and quite literally rub the insides of the alloy. This will rub all the "overspray" off for you :)

Don't try and rub overspray off until you are ready to peel it all off as you will most likely catch the plastidip and ruin your finish.

How simple is this to do Shaun?

I guess you made this thread for opinions, I will give you mine.

Everyone else is positive so you will probably go down that route - however, I've never really liked black wheels because the features disappear, they don't look as bright, and in my opinion they can look smaller!

For example, see the photos I've attached, the details almost vanish on the black wheels, where as they pop on Silver. I love silver :) Same alloy, but look at the difference!

Yeah your opinion is exactly why I am using plastidip because I like both and I can whip it off when/if I am done with it,but I do welcome all thought either for or against as it's nice to have opinionated people.
Cheers dude
