Am doing an oil and oil filter change on my 1.4 petrol Multi-air turbo.
The oil filter is the "non spinoff canister" type.Purflux I believe is the make of filter,
This is the first time that I have come across this type of filter housing............and I can't get the b......ger off!!!
I have used a 22mm long box spanner, but as the housing is some sort of semi-flexable plastic, I don;t wont to break/damage the top.

Has anyone used anything that will do the job??

Ian:confused:

Try putting your 22mm spanner on and hit it with your hand or something heavy to crack the seal

It is in a difficult place as the Turbo air hose is close(Lancia Delta, oh alright, its a Chrysler Delta!).
I used an old screwdriver as a Tommy bar, and bent the thing double.
Its getting at it seems to be the hard bit.
I don;t really want to move the turbo hose, as the clips are the Sealy type.

Thanks for those replies,
I do like to change oil when hot, as it drains more out of the sump.
I will try to "crack it" when warm or cold. Does the oil flood over the top of the housing when it does turn off?...........
