I don't want or need a diesel, I can afford to run the vxr I just want something that's going to help me get a house a little bit quicker, over the year the costs of tyres and servicing etc all adds up. The tyres on the fiat are only 17s so much cheaper. Fuel is still better
Ive got a good job so money isn't an issue as such but would just like to stop spending most of it running and fixing problems on the vxr.

As mentioned, possibly you could get more for your money. However like you say, there's the hassle factor that by saving £500 you're driving all over the Countryside, which may or may not pay off. Plus if something does go wrong with this Bravo you're only a mile down the road from the garage.

The guy seems reasonable by offering to swap (many garages seem obsessed with making someone pay something for a new car even if the one they're trading in is worth more, so fair play to him on that). Plus if you get the exhaust 'disclaimer' in writing and a bit of cash towards the steering wheel then bonus, though like people have said, Fiat/Alfa exhausts go scabby like that on the outside but usually go through years of MOTs with advisories before they actually rot through.

I was actually gonna say 'walk away' when I saw the 3 owners, but if it's an ex Fiat car then only 6-12 months would've been them, then the remaining owners would've kept it a fair while, so should be ok. If the number plate starts WM, WN, WP, WR then that'll help back up the ex-Fiat ownership - these are the most commonly used prefixes for the Bristol area, where one of Fiats main import centres are, so a lot of ex-Fiat Group cars have reg's starting with these letters.

Yeah I think they had it for 8 months then the next owner had until 2012 then the next one up until now.
On a previous mot it was mentioned about the corrosion of the exhaust but confirmed there was no gases leaking but like I say he's put it in writing that if it does leak or blow within 6 months he'll replace it. I think for convenience it's probably easier, I've emailed him and said I've seen cheaper so will see if he comes back with anything. Reg is wr57 lol

I paid £4530 for my 2008 dynamic with leathers and parking sensors, FSH and 64,000 miles on it last April. Also included a fresh service, cambelt change, mot and 6 months road tax, so I think the price is a bit high on that, especially as it seems to be the standard sport (no upgrades like climate control, rear elec windows, leather, parking sensors etc). But then as you say, the amount you may end up spending searching for one may make it worthwhile to pay a little over the top now to save a lot down the line. I'd offer you mine as I want to get something newer/smaller but I don't want to do it until I've bought a house- been looking for 3 months and no joy yet!

Yeah il see what they come back with, arnold clark have one 3700 but it's in scotland. May still be worth a trip if I get a good px on mine.

I bought my bravo 09 plate couple of months ago sports 150bph 13500 miles on clock from fiat fsh one owner from new 6months tax 2year warranty £5600 cash. I think u can shop around and get a lot cheaper I think I got great buy as car feels brand new and gear box don't worry me as warrenty will cover that.. The car is worth every penny and is amazing to drive other than squeaky front breaks which is a bit embarrassing

I got my 1.9 bravo sport for that price that you've been quoted and under 50k on clock also a diesel engine, car is in mint condition nothing wrong passed the mot with flying colours so not sure why your considering buying a petrol version for round the same price of a newer diesel alternative. I'd shop around more tbh you may find the same car but alot cheaper

He's selling it because the box is knackerd . .
And I would of loved to of had the "factory option painted callipers"
If there was such a thing :(
