So here's my problem, my dad took my car for a spin as I'm not allowed to drive due to surgery! Came back saying there was a rattle, closer inspection the front nearside coil spring had 2-3 inches snapped off! I can't affored a new fiat one and can't find aftermarket ones so left in a pickle! Has anyone lowered there 2.0D sporting and kept the spring & are willing to sell them! Or know if any other springs that fit? I'd just put some amix ones on it but direct line said it would void my warranty... Thanks in advance!

Shouldn't the insurance cover this? surely it snapped on a pothole so it should be covered.

I wouldn't know personally and I couldn't place the damage to a specific area, The insursnce is fully comp but the excess is quite high due to my age! So it's a case of 80 odd + vat for the part from a dealer plus Labour.. they're quite uncommon so I thought I'd ask!

They're probably the same springs as on 1.9 multijet and those are very common.

I'm not too sure I know the dynamic and sport models have different springs, I think they have different product numbers, I'll try the local scrappys tomorrow! If No joy will have to go to the garage

So looking on eurowrongparts I've came to the conclusion that the 1.9 sport springs must be the same as they are shared with the 1.6 sport one also, and a different spring is around for the 1.9/1.6 dynamic> still not 100% but will post if/ when fitted if they match so others know many that's forumers
