I have ordered a ODB2 Bluetooth module from Amazon and downloaded the Torque Pro app for my Samsung Android phone. Has anybody tried this on a 150 sport multi-jet. Have watched a few videos on you tube and it all looks a good way to fault find

Actually does not work perfectly if you want to use it to keep track of error codes. Yes, you can play with 0-100 times, BHP and similar stuff (mind you it is not even close to things like GTech in terms of accuracy), but since it cannot connect to all ECU modules you cannot trust it for error information. You can only read engine error codes. At least this is the case with cheap Chinese ODB2 connectors you can buy from eBay.

here's my torque pro:

Thanks guys for the quick reviews. The app looks pretty good, and some of the advice around is that you don't use the CD that comes with the module as it contains a virus, it's better to throw it away. When Amazon deliver I'll let you know how it works out.

You can't read any other codes anyway, as I said only engine codes show with the cheap Chinese connectors. So for me that's not exactly "working". I plugged another ODB2, connected to a laptop and voila - 3 or 4 more errors appeared :) You can't trust this for anything.

tbh if i needed something diagnosed/fixed in the body computers i would go to an auto electrician specialist. in 8 years i haven't needed to.

the ability to read and reset fault on simple things like duff lambda sensors and coils is all i need (y)

How would you know that you have a body error code that requires an electrician, if you don't see the code? :) Sometimes the car acts well and still there is an issue somewhere.

Plus, you'd be surprised how many other meaningless error codes exist, that you may like to clear.

FYI there is a simple fix that makes the cheapo connector read all computers, not just the ECU ;) If you feel like doing some soldering, Google it :)

OK so I am looking at buying one of these and a 3 pin to OBD2 interface cable to read error codes on my daughters Siena 1.6 has anyone tried this yet?

Any feedback or advise on using this interface please advise.
