Bravo Matthewr1990's T-Jet Bravo Dynamic

Introduction

So after months of looking around, researching, test driving and even a little fight (don't ask). I have finally got myself a Bravo. And what a beauty she is. It's a (57 plate), Dynamic, T-jet 120.

Goodbye Megane. You horrible excuse of a car!

Now can someone point me in the direction of a new brain. Even the climate control confuses the hell out of me LMAO. Gonna need a really good read of the manual.

Anyway. The car has a full service history and only has 57,000 miles, it had got a broken glove box but the garage is sorting this for me. It's coming with 9 months mot, 6 months tax and warranty, it's just had new belt's, water pump, brakes and two front tyres. It's in beautiful shape with no dents although there is paint work damage on the rear bumper. It's not deep, they're just surface scratches and no dent so god knows what they hit or did lmao. But it's not severe and barely visible from a distance, so it will be sorted when and if I'm ready.

QUESTION: being as this is a 57 plate car. Will it be able to connect to my iPhone 5 with a software update and the right connector?

So anyway without further ado here she is. She will have a name in due time

Good looking interior

Considering it's 6 years old, the upholstery is immaculate

Beautiful colour

So what do you think?
Re: My new Bravo :D

These! :yuck:

These look stunning but i guess an acquired taste. The polished wheels seem a nightmare to repair as well, I kerbed one of mine on the Alfa and no where was keen to work on them. The Bravo alloys the OP is after are easily refurbished though, need mine doing but too tight to pay out especially with winter setting in.

Re: My new Bravo :D

The picture doesn't do the alloys on the Mito any justice, much better in real life. I'm bias as I love mine, a pain to clean though. The 18" sport alloys on the bravo are sooooo much easier to clean and look much more bulkier even though they're the same size!

Re: My new Bravo :D

So I had to take my car back yesterday as there was a rattle in the boot lining and a water leak into the spare wheel area. All fixed and back now so I fitted my team Heko wind deflectors. And Jesus Christ they were hard to fit. I've dealt with deflectors many times and they are generally easy, but the bravo seems to have much bigger rubber seals and also has that little thing that sticks off the front two windows about half way along at the top from the outside. (what is that?). Anyway I got them in and they look great which was what I wanted. As far as usability with them? I'm not sure yet it's too cold to check haha. Here's a pic anyway

Re: My new Bravo :D

Thank the world for simoniz back to black. Did the rear bumper panel thing today. Second hand cars always take a while to restore to how you like and this was my next step. Also decided that I'm going to refurb the wheels anthracite in the new year. Anyway here's the rear bumper plate thing before/after. Simple yet effective.

Recommend it to anyone. Will be doing all the window seals and scuttle panel next. Brilliant little buy (y)

Matthew, Just out of curiosity, did you find out, or does anybody else actually know what those things do or what they are for please?

Yep that's the thing, I have no idea what It is for. I just know it made fitting my wind deflectors a pain in the ass ha. I have seen these on many fiats and Alfa's though. Although strangely my old Grande Punto didn't have it. It boggles me. It doesn't seem to have a sensor or anything.

Anyone else know what it is?

Re: My new Bravo :D

I've heard that they are there to help guide the window into place when raising them at speed.

Re: My new Bravo :D

Looking good!

Not that I know off, just having got them on mine. Do you all have Dynamic trim with electric windows all round? Mine is Sport so only electric front windows.

Interesting, my sport has electric front and rear. I guess another option?

Re: My new Bravo :D

Yep, optional on Sport as is climate control but I do have this. Can't beat the sport seats though (y)

It was a joke based on the need for these things to guide the windows shut at 'speed'. Boom boom... groan. :)

Anyway, obviously Austens' car is a high spec fast car, but doesn't have these window gadgets. So, that can't be the correct answer. At least not by that speed explanation. Although it did sound reasonable enough at first.

Any other suggestions are welcome. Just curious about them now.

I do.
