Bravo Matthewr1990's T-Jet Bravo Dynamic

Introduction

So after months of looking around, researching, test driving and even a little fight (don't ask). I have finally got myself a Bravo. And what a beauty she is. It's a (57 plate), Dynamic, T-jet 120.

Goodbye Megane. You horrible excuse of a car!

Now can someone point me in the direction of a new brain. Even the climate control confuses the hell out of me LMAO. Gonna need a really good read of the manual.

Anyway. The car has a full service history and only has 57,000 miles, it had got a broken glove box but the garage is sorting this for me. It's coming with 9 months mot, 6 months tax and warranty, it's just had new belt's, water pump, brakes and two front tyres. It's in beautiful shape with no dents although there is paint work damage on the rear bumper. It's not deep, they're just surface scratches and no dent so god knows what they hit or did lmao. But it's not severe and barely visible from a distance, so it will be sorted when and if I'm ready.

QUESTION: being as this is a 57 plate car. Will it be able to connect to my iPhone 5 with a software update and the right connector?

So anyway without further ado here she is. She will have a name in due time

Good looking interior

Considering it's 6 years old, the upholstery is immaculate

Beautiful colour

So what do you think?
Re: My new Bravo :D

Assuming you're replacing it because its faded there's an even cheaper way of sort in them - if the plastic bit in the middle hasn't fallen off yet! You just prise the clear plastic bit out from the chrome trim - it's only held n with double sided tape. The reason the maroon part of the badge looks faded is because it has actually separated from the clear plastic, so it usually comes away pretty easily. Then all you do is clean off any remaining bits of the maroon foil stuff and paint the back of the badge whatever colour you want, then stick it back on.

Re: My new Bravo :D

Lovely jubbly. Thanks for the link. Is there a discount code for being a member on here. It may be another site I'm thinking of lol. But I'm sure we get 10% or something off of a site for being members? Probably dreamt it or something knowing me.

Yes there is. It's in the members zone under members offers. Near the top of the list. Can't put it here obviously.

Re: My new Bravo :D

Am I right in thinking that the badge is bolted on from behind the grill? So is the grill easily removed by just pulling on it. That how I removed my Puno grill. Obviously I don't just yank it, but all I need to know is if it is bolted in at all? Again bare with me sorry. New car, Los of questions and you all seem so willing to help :)

Re: My new Bravo :D

Yep - pull, pull some more and keep on pulling. I found mine was pretty tight and had to ease it out at both the top, bottom and sides. There are kinda lugs holding it in place, but the plastic bumper will bend to ease it out.

Just take your time and patience though or you could end up snapping something.

Re: My new Bravo :D

Thanks for the help again.

Im getting quite a bit purchased for my new bravo. New badge, wind deflectors, fitted car mats, fiat tax disc holder. Just got to purchase myself the Blue and me adaptater and new cable for my iPhone. I've even bought a memory stick so I'm able to update te system. I love getting new cars lol. Next up, check pollen filter and change if needs be.

And then off to the polish people down the road, do a full car clean and steam etc for about £40. And they do a fantastic job

Please get back to us on how you get along with the wind deflectors ( i.e. more/less wind noise at speed; help with water drops on interior door panel ..etc)

I've had deflectors in all my cars. I like the look of them. As far as actually deflecting wind/rain they help but they're not a miracle maker. Quicker you go the better they work. But of course you then get the issue of road noise. There are pros and cons to them. But for £30 I love the look of them. It's just my thing lol. And they are so easy to fit. I had a friend who had slight issues with them. The clips scratched his window tints but I've never had that issue, and of course the scratches are right at the top of his window so when closed you couldn't see anything.

Re: My new Bravo :D

Those are the factory 18"s, I have them and love them!:D
Yup I know that. They are part of the Sport models I believe, and as I have a Dynamic model my Alloys just don't cut it, I did originally like the black and anthracite sport ones. But they're nothing compared to the beauty of these alloy's. I need a set so badly lol.

Re: My new Bravo :D

It is worth just keeping an eye on Ebay. I got a set of 18 inch Alfa Romeo Alloys (see photo) for my MiTo which came as standard with 16's as it had the Lusso, mid range trim. They were brand new from a dealer in Edinburgh and I paid £450 for them with tyres (a bargain!) I then sold my 16's on Gumtree for £350.

I don't know about you but I could never justify paying the full RRP, £700+ then adding tyres - crazy money.

This was in 2009 so the car was quite rare then so a lucky find. You may be lucky to spot some of the Bravo Sport alloys with a little time and patience. I've got these, the only downside is the price of tyre replacement, you need to be prepared to negotiate to get a decent quality tyre for around the £120 mark.

Re: My new Bravo :D

I have a set in good condition and I would sell if I could find a nice set of 17's.

Re: My new Bravo :D

I completely agree Austen. And like you I would subsidise the price with my old alloys. And tyres wouldn't be too hard for me to deal with. I'm only an 8k miles a year driver so a set would last me a long time with good swapping rotation etc. btw your alloys are stunning, do Alfa ever make a bad looking Alloy?
