Hi all,
I have a slight niggle with my fiat and the dealer I bought it from can't seem to locate/fix/diagnose it. (Car people (on a 09 plate 24k miles))
Basically sometimes when accelerating in 1st or 2nd I hear a dump valve noise as im going up the rev range and when it makes the noise I lose power for a fraction of a second before it comes back.
The dealer said they found a lose airbox or something which worked for a day and I'm guessing I didn't notice it because the engine was warm but the problem has returned so I don't think it's that.

I notice it most when the engine is cold - cold/warm and under load. I.e full car or up a hill.

Also I have to slam the boot or it won't shut. Is this normal?

Cheers

Sounds like maybe its over boosting and trying to dispose of the extra boost by activating the recirculation valve

That's what I thought but I'm sure it hasn't been mapped or anything. Any reasons for this?

Faulty sensor or maybe the wastegate is failing and unable to hold the boost anymore that happens alot on petrol turbos

Forgot to mention that it only happens under half or less throttle. Don't notice it at WOT.
Could that still be wastegate issue?
