Is there any way of getting my Bravo to beep when locking and unlocking like an Alfa would. I used to find this handy on my MiTo so I knew I'd locked it as I had walked away.

Thanks

Unless alarm is installed?
By the way just curious, why Mito to Bravo?
Usually people go Guilietta

A few reason really.

- I don't follow the crowd!

- The Alfa dealer network in the south is appalling. The nearest dealer to me which is 20 miles away refused to service me or my car after many issues.

- Bravo's are excellent value for money. Mine was £8000 at 2 years old with 14,000 miles on the clock. It was almost like new.

- I wanted something more spacious and comfortable. I drove a Guilietta courtesy car and can't say I was impressed. Although the interior is nice it feels cramped generally not as comfortable as a Bravo.

- The Bravo seems to be cheaper on parts - servicing costs are quite a bit cheaper.

Overall I just really like the Bravo, I liked it when I had my MiTo. When I had my MiTo I hardly saw any around but now they are quite common. Locally a few boy racers have picked them up and installed bodykits etc. They look awful!

I've owned numerous cars and driven many others at work etc but can't say I've been as impressed with any as I have with the Bravo - and the Maserati blue paintwork just finishes it off for me.

The Bravo is a nice place to be and drives superbly well. It is also well build and seems like a solid, dependable car.

You could wire an alarm speaker very easily but then it would beep even when you lock the car from inside.

Give a professional electrician enough time and he probably could find the lead that comes right out of the remote locking receptor and wire it to a relay that would bip only when locking and unlocking with a remote. But that's something only a pro who has time to waste can do safely.

have you asked your dealer? It could be that they can switch it on. my chrysler delta, which is just a stretched bravo really, has the beeps and in the handbook it says it is market specific which suggests the facility exists but isn't always switched on depending on local regulations? Could be wrong though I'm no expert on Bravos but most modern cars have facilities that can be switched on/off via the main dealer diagnostic computer
