Hi Guys

Hoping you can help me here.

I want to be able to replace the head unit in my 58 Bravo. I've seen this here, and that has everything I'd want on it.

My requirements are:
  • Bluetooth - so I can play media from my phone, and voice calls from my Phone
  • Touch operated if possible
  • MOST IMPORTANT - Steering Wheel controls continue to work

Any ideas on what I should be looking for guys?

Birthday coming up and I'm up for treating myself.

Cheers

That looks extremely cheap and nasty tbh. Get a decent head unit such as one from Pioneer etc.

Thanks for the response.

OK, considering your post...can you let me know if the Pioneer ones cover my needs in the original post? Can I still use steering wheel controls for skipping tracks? Would I be able to voice call and answer with steering wheel?

Any ideas?

Anyone have any pics of their bravo radio replaced with a single sin unit? I want to installed a sony dsx s300 stereo but not sure how it'll look with it only being a single din.

Although if my iphone behaves well with blue and me and the usb port, i may just make do

Ok, i assume you had to buy one of the adapters that can be found in ebay for specific stereos (panasonic, sony etc) , around £35ish?

Ok, easy to fit? I seem to remember there has to be some order to connect the plugs in some order?

I previously took my 206 to halfords as I couldnt get the steering wheel remote to work and they charged me £25 for 5 mins work!

Cool, ill see how blue and me works with my phone, playing music wirelessly isnt an issue if it plays fine through the ubs port and i can use the phone function wirelessly

OK guys...you seem to have a good handle on things....I need help as I literally don't know the dos and don'ts.

I'm after a single or double (not overly fussed) but it has to have the A2DP and BT calling, it has to have steering wheel controls still (assuming an adapter will just allow functionality of the new stereo from steering wheel) and DAB would be sweet.

Any recommendations?

I dont know about double dins, but in my 206 i have a sony bt2600 with steering wheel adapter fitted and it works flawlessly.

Im probably going to leave that in when i sell and maybe get a sony dsx s300 single din stereo with the steering wheel adapter, that should still let me use the phone answer/hang up button. I need to see how my iphone works/syncs with blue and me first before I decide whether or not to go ahead and get it though
