I have just done a fault code reading on my fiat bravo 1.9 jtd multijet, 07 plate. It read the error PO401 as critical, the egr valve. It also read PO101 and PO111 also, but not as criticle. One of these is the maf sensor, which i took apart a few weeks ago when the engine warning light came on.* Now the PO401, this is the egr valve. I have cleaned it but it still reads the error. I imagine that the egr valve needs replacing. But the other codes, are they being read due to the dodgy egr valve, or because I removed the maf sensor, or something else?? Thanks.

Hi, thanks.

But you can only get fault codes if the engine warning light is on, in which it now is not on as I cleared the codes.

Just because I cleaned the EGR valve it doesn't mean it should work. The pin may be stuck which stops it from working properly. Surely it needs replacing if I have cleaned it, but it is still bringing up the fault code for it?
