Hi All,
I am just changing my turbo on my 2007 Fiat Bravo 1.9 m-jet 150. The turbo is with Midland Turbo to be repaired (seized exhaust side fan, snapped shaft and messed up the air intake fan)
They have told me the turbo failure was down to oil starvation and there seams to be allot of carbon build up on the exhaust side.
This is were I need a little help.
When I took the oil feed pipe off there was oil in the pipe and the turbo was full of oil (also it was sucking oil into the exhaust and smoking) so I know oil is getting there. Is there anyway of checking if enough oil is getting there?
Also what could be the cause of carbon build up? Poor running etc?
The car has 102k miles and was a company car and well maintained.
Is there anything else I should look at before putting the turbo back on and hoping it works?
Many thanks
Michael
