So, has anyone come a cropper yet and either got stuck, or pranged their Bravo? Seem to remember mine being a lot worse last time around, but on my 45 mile commute home today it was pretty solid.

Plus, is it considered immature to play "how long can I get the traction control light to stay on for from a standing start"? Post your best times!(y)

Last time it snowed real bad (2010?) I had to have people push me up a slight slope as the Bravo just spun up and slid on the surface. I'm assuming it's an open diff in the 1.4 Tjet. No chance to try the Bravo this time around as it's in bits. Not quite as deep or icy round here as it was last time though, so it's probably a little better.

Do you mean ASR deactivated? (not the same thing as ESP).. just curious.

Sorry, it did indeed mean ASR (y)

However I am planning on deactivating the ABS as I've done previously in the snow on my Stilo. Not sure if it'll still enable ESP to kick in, although I've only had it kick in once in 6 months of ownership anyways :p

No problems so far. Did 700 miles up and down the M1 over the past few days without an issue. Though it does like collecting snow on the front :p

Lately we had some snow, and one morning I found out that someone modified Fiat Bravo.Modified by nature... :D So now you see how they came up with the new Kia Ceed look....

No traction control on mine either, but I've been fine driving round for the last couple of days, and that's with Pirelli P7 Cinturato eco tyres on!

I'm very pleased with them. I replaced all four original tyres at 40k miles and these have done 15k since then. I'm on about 6mm of tread left now so they should match if not beat the first set.

No problems with road nose or economy and they seem to grip better too, especially in the wet. As I recall, they weren't even that expensive either.

You got 40k miles off a set of tires?!? Did you drive purely in a straight line?!?

I did a fair amount of motorway driving, so not far off, and I do like my cars to last though I'm not a slow driver.

My best so far has been 40k front 60k rear on my first Octavia, and on the second one I still had the original brake pads and disks at 78k when I sold it. The bravo's brakes are yet to need attention.

My front tyres are on 44,402 miles at the moment, and they'll probably be on there for another 10 to 15k. They are Michelin Energy Savers.

Oh, and I moved them from the back where they had been on from new at about 42K Thought I'd wear them out before they died of old age:D

I was still on my orginal rear contis at 60k miles, replaced them only recently and not because of wear but too many flats repaired. front contis went at around 45k.

I almost always give it full torque when launching... so that's pretty amazing.

Our front tyres lasted about 20k (mostly urban driving). The brake pads lasted about 30-35k, alhough the front discs were well worn too so I had to change them.

I haven't been using my Bravo in the snow, I've been using the wife's Suzuki Alto (2010). It's fitted with winter tyres and is basically unstoppable in this weather.

The previous owner fitted Event ditchfinder tyres to my Bravo. They are hopeless in the dry, a million times worse in the wet, so I daren't try them in the snow!

Will be replacing them with something decent once the Christmas bills are paid off....

In the same boat! I bought a Bravo last week someone has put four new Events on. I have to use it and can't afford to fit four new tyres so have no choice. Even compared to the Potenzas my Evo came with they are terrible.:bang:

Oh yeah I feel your pain! Mine were fitted a matter of months before I bought my Bravo, so they are also still fairly new.

I am hoping to get them replaced with something better, and with any luck I'll be able to flog the Events on eBay!
