Ive bought a sub/amp/aftermarket head unit for my bravo...bought the keys to remove stereo...
It comes out just a inch then sticks anyone know why? or how to completely remove it??

sounds like you've done what I did, I stuck the keys in the wrong way and bent the clip.

Had to use a small saw blade down the side of the head unit to cut off the bent clip. Once I had done this it just slid out.

they are literally either side of the holes where you put the keys in.

What's the correct way to put the keys in? I would guess smaller end to the edge? I'll be doing the same when my new amp and Focal speakers arrive

When I had to remove my HU, this thread was very helpful and detailed. Have a look at the pictures if you've not already removed it.
Took me just over 3hrs with 2 people trying various different methods of extraction. I ended up using a hacksaw blade alright.. I cut of a inch or so facia on the underside of the HU to gain better access to the broken clips. There's no damage on the front of the HU, but I removed the clips all together.

Its a big job if the clips are completely severed.

So the clips are literally just behind the holes? it comes out at least a inch and a half then sticks =(

The clips are a fair way in. When you slide the removal key in it pushes the clips into the stereo. If the keys have been put in the wrong way at any point the clips will be bent outwards and catch as you pull the headunit.

Sorry no pictures but if you pull it until it gets stuck try and slide something thinn and stiff down the sides to push the clips back in.

I know a lot of people have cut the once they have been stuck but I'm sure you could get it out without. Even if you cut them it will still go back nicely and be fairly tight.

i used a long screw driver and a hammer and sheared the clips off a lot less destructive compared to sawing things, even though its a lot of banging lol

Yesterday i have tried to put in a long knife on both side and i cant do nothing, i dont know what to do exactly...

In line with where the stereo key should slide in the front is where the clips are holding it in.

How much inches do i have to put screw in?
Should i have the radio keys in?
