Hello, I've just bought a 57 plate T-jet 150 dynamic. It came with a 3 month 'insurance' warranty. I'm trying to find any issues with the car now so I can get them done under the warranty. The only things I've found so far are-
1) when pulling away in first gear as I'm lifting the clutch the gear has jumped out and back in to neutral. This has happened 3 times so far in about 2 weeks. Not sure whether it is my driving or whether it is something I should have looked at? I've never experienced this in other cars tho'.
2) when turning right, usually in cold conditions, the indicator stalk does not stay engaged!

Any help/ideas welcomed. Thanks.

Both issues I encountered. The gear thing developed about two and a half years into ownership, did it a few times and never did it again. No idea what it was but unless it gets worse, don't worry too much.

Is your steering wheel aligned properly to the centre? Mines was slightly off because my tracking was a long long long way out (concequences of changing springs every time there was a day in the week) and that caused an issue for the indicator

Thanks for the reply. It hasn't jumped out of gear for over a week now but I am making sure it is properly in gear before I release the clutch so maybe it was driver error!
As for the indicator-
The tracking seems to be ok and it is only when the temperature outside is close to freezing. Can't really be bothered taking it to a garage coz unless its cold they won't be able to recreate the fault. Think I'll just put up with it!

I've had the same issue with my indicator since buying the car just over a year ago. No tracking issues in the past & it only happens during cold weather so I assumed it was due to the contraction of various parts. My trim certainly becomes a lot more rattly at this time of year. I just put up with it to be honest as it doesn't happen frequently.

Resurrecting a slightly old post, but just to say that ours has done the indicator thing from new. Fiat couldn't find anything wrong, but like above, I'm sure it's part of the stalk mechanism sticking and not latching when it's cold (only happens then). It's not something you want happening on a roundabout, so I often have to keep it held while steering. Might be as simple as needing a bit more grease though - never looked deeper into it.

I have to comment.

The stalk doesn`t stay engaded because of the rubber which you see at start of the stalk. When it`s cold, the rubber becomes more hard and presses stulk to default. Stilo had the same problem. It ussualy helps if you press stulk up or down and leave it during the night. Next day you wont have that problem any more :)

Top tip :) I'll give it a try. Many thanks.
