Hi all

I use the USB port on my 56 plate Bravo to play MP3’s off of a 32gb stick and for some reason this has suddenly decided to stop working. :(

When I press the SRC button it flicks between CD and Radio, not the media player. When I press the voice button and say “folders” (which used to build the media library) it doesn’t do anything either. I’ve even tried using a different USB stick with only a few MP3’s on to sensecheck and it still doesn’t work.

Is there something I’m missing? Have I inadvertently pressed a button to turn this function off?? Is there another way to access the media player?

It’s driving me nuts. :bang:

All help appreciated!

Thanks

Reboot your blue&me by unplugging the (-) of your car's battery, wait 30 secs and then plug it back.

32gb drive used to work fine for you? I wouldn't try more than 4gb on mine, I fried an 8gb drive once with the blue&me.

I don't think I'd ever completely filled up the 32gb so I'll be mindful in the future.

So there's not way that I can somehow turn off the meida player?

I'll try the battery thing this evening and see if it works, thanks! :)

drive capacity shouldn't really change anything, I've had my 500gb hard drive hooked up to mine without an issue, sometimes B&M can throw a hissy fit and as said by Tad a reset will normally resolve, other thing you could try is reinstalling the latest software on the system, the same way the upgrade is done, that got mine working again when it wouldn't pick up USB drives :)

On some blu&me systems, drive capacity dictates how well it works because larger drives require more power from the usb socket.

When I sensechecked it with a smaller drive that was only a 1gb one with a single album on and it didn't work either.

If the disconnecting the battery doens't work then I will try and re-install.

How easy is it to disconnect the battery? Do I need any special tools? Is it dangerous??

Thanks guys. I have the same problem, so I'll try a reset tonight and hopefully it fixes it.

Hi
I have a bravo 1.9 multijet 2007. Its the fourth time that the usb doesnt read the music files. I have done the reboot thing by unpluging the (-) of batery and first it worked. Now i have done it 6 times and it still not working. The usb port is fine because it can charge my htc and the orange light near usb is on. I have never done the upgrate thing? Is that what i need? Please tell me if there is something i can do. I have formated dhe flash driver and tried with different flash usb. This problem hapens to me when i put new songs on my flash driver.
Thanks

Hi

Just had the same issue myself. Because I think it had some files that Blue&me didn't like, I took the tunes off the drive, then slow format the pen/stick and re-installed the tunes back on to the pen, then presto.

Thanks
