Hi,

I need help! lol
I went to replace my sidelights this evening and in doing the passenger side the wiring harness came loose from the bulb while the bulb was still in 'the hole'! I tried to carefully pull it out with tweezers but, alas, the bloody bulb fell into the headlight housing :bang:
It can now be seen, falling around the headlight from the exterior :(

Is there any way of getting it out again or am I gonna be stuck with a random 501 bulb inside my headlight for the rest of my life???

Any help very much appreciated!!

remove the headlight from the car, remove the high beam bulb as well, shake wildly until it falls out *hopefully*

removing the headlight will be a pain though its a bumper off jobby

I had it once, I got it out by using a bit of thin tubing (small enough so that the bulb will not get sucked in duh;) ). Ducktape one side to a hoover, does not have to be totally air tight, then try and wiggle the open end through the opening of the main beam bulb and onto the top or the end of the bulb in question. Gently pull the whole thing out, done, phew!

Good luck

thanks guys, yeah had feared itd be headlight off jobby, gonna try your tip though johndoe! nice one!

nice one with the hoover, i'll have to try that one as i've managed to drop a H1 dip beam into the light housing. Luckily it was the old one and not one of my new super dooper Osram Nightbreaker ultimates:worship:

I've managed to get bulbs out in situations like that by using a piece of stiff wire with some double sided tape on the end of it

Try a telescopic magnet, like the old style car aerial with a small magnet on the end. There only a few quid! May be able to grab onto a bulb leg!
