This is the best HU you can get for the bravo.

It's based on windows CE 6.0 and has built-in 3D maps, 7" touchscreen, build-in video playback support, steering wheels buttons support, bluetouth phone support, bluetouth music playback, apps, video input (for installing console games for example), rear view camera input, dual zone support (for playing a dvd on the headrest monitor for the kids whil having gps on the main screen for exemple), PIP (displaying both GPS and music interface at the same time for exemple) etc...

I know what it's worth because my brother has basically the same one in his BMW.

The only down side I know is that compared to a pioneer or alpine HUs, the built in amp is weak, it requires external amps if you have powerful speakers.

Oh...and it costs only $550 (around 330£ I think) :D

here's a link with more photos and a different seller : http://www.dhgate.com/fiat-bravo-20...ation/p-ff808081337d78030133814acdaf4dcb.html

I've mailed the chinese manufacturers regarding blue&me compatibility and price directly shipped from china... awaiting a reply.

I pity those who went to all the trouble to get the connectnav+ in their bravo, this one is easily installed and a million times better in every aspect.

are these really worth it? are they well built and have well made circuits?

Had the chance to open up some cheap chinese electronics recently to find i could have soldered it better using my anus, no wonder it died, but, and crucially, it was a fire waiting to happen, not a fire hazard... a fire waiting to happen.

Everything with a chip is built somewhere in asia now anyway, even in your car.

These HUs are fine, as I said before I played with exactly the same one in my brother's BMW, only the outer shell, buttons and connectors are different to fit different cars.

If you want a multifunction HU that looks like a high end standard one, there's nothing better than this.

Here are more pictures the manufacturer sent me.

Can anyone familiar with the bravo's HU connectors confirm that this is compatible?

It looks like it'll work but only like a normal 3rd party one would.
It won't be Blue & Me, it won't use the in-built USB socket and, depending further on the connector, I think you would struggle to get reverse, speed sense and parking brake signals.

It is as you said, just a standard HU with a Bravo front to it.

I don't really care about reverse, speed and handbrake signal, I'll get those connected if I want to use the rear camera and TV later. The USB is easy to install and the HU has also a micro SD card port at the front for music and video files, so the USB port is not even a must. (the second micro sd port is for the gps maps)

I have the confirmation from the chinese that this bypasses the blue&me and is not compatible with it but what interests me is if the phone/mute/ buttons on the steering wheel will be detected.

The phone button wouldn't work - this is for blue and me.
The mute button would as this is simply an ATT signal - present in nearly all modern stereo wiring looms.

I don't know of any touch screens that use pens and don't use fingers...

Just looks like a gimmick to me.

If it needs an analogue TV aerial, it suggests that it only has an analogue TV tuner. TV in the UK switches from analogue to digital only from early next year, so the TV function in it may become redundant then.

It's a resistive touchscreen capable of detecting finger as well as stylus input.

As for the TV, even if it doesn't have Digital TV built in (which I don't know if it has), there's an add-on for that.

resistive touch is slightly better for automotive use, especially in the winter when you wear gloves, resistive will pick that you, capacitive will not

also theres a hand break signal sent to the radio? whats that for? I thought it was just based on speed input from the BC
