Is there any way of resetting the service computer other then taking it to the dealership? as in with my own OBD plug is there software available for it?

its mainly for the DPF counter which i dont know if it exists or not ever seen anything come up for it.

If i leave the spanner to go off on its own should i expect a light come on for the DPF? saying the oil has degraded?

the book says the oil will need to be changed at least every 2 years, OR when the light on the dash comes on (the little red dripping oil can, which means either low oil or oil exhausted:confused:)

Hope this helps
J

i do mine every 9-10k but still follow the servicing schedule ie between the service at 57k and the next one due at 75k i have changed the oil half way at 66-67k and shall do it all again at 75k plus the additional parts and then once it gets up to 93k its due its cambelt too

its not been serviced yet its for when i do service it.. iv never had that "oil" light come on to tell me the oils dedrigated dont believe it works lol...The oil thats in at the moment looks terrible looks really thin and i cant even tell where its even up to on the dip stick its rubbish for telling. Think its well over the Max point

that FiatECUScan looks really good cheers Gordanovich.

i do plan on doing a service every 10k miles as well i dont like leaving oil in for over 20k miles at a time.

just dont want a light coming on that needs resetting every so often i hate lights on my dash that aint ment to be there.

Fiatecuscan can reset all Bravo's engines

that'll do me then

Now just need a bluetooth or solid OBD2 port cable

I would be horrified if my oil was like that! I'd be straight out to get a oil change (£40-£50).

well i needed to find out about the service light been reset... Apparently the oil is fine according to fiats way of judging when the oil should be changed (DPF light coming on) but yeh im not happy with it hence wanting to get it done now. Not ment to be done for another 8k miles according to service intervals
