steering wheel change over
Can i change my steering wheel for a new one?

By 1.9 mj sport 150 diesel has the cursed blistering (joking) leather.
I was wondering that if i buy a second hand s/wheel from salvage could i swap it over to my car and use my own bluetooth controls and irbag in the new steering wheel?.
My local fiat garage have quoted me £30 ( a steel ) to change the wheel, but i never mantioned anything about the airbag Etc..
Can it be done??

yes and contrary to what scooter said, you can take the steering wheel even from a car that doesn't have Blue&Me as long as it has the plastic bits where buttons go.

The leather rim of the steering wheel is the only thing you need to replace, all the rest stays including the arbag part.

oh i didnt know they did blank ones ive only eva seen them with the buttons or solid in that section where they would be never seen plastic blanking caps
 
well all the leather is falling off mine mainly on the right hand side and bottom of the steering wheel but mines out of warranty might just see how much it is to get it refabricated

Cheers Tad, the wheel im going to buy is off a 60 plate bravo that is a right off and the wheel is immaculate, I phoned fiat and they said it was no problem to change over MY airbag and bluetooth controls and put onto the new steering wheel. i just hope a 60 plate wheel will fit me 57 plate bravo???
