Hi all

The warning light on my dash came on today telling me that I need to replace the driver's side rear brake light bulb. :(

I plan to do the replacing myself but didn't know which bulb to buy, has anyone done this before and which bulbs did you use?

I've seen some packs of bulbs for sale online (here and here). If I buy one of these packs will they contain the bulbs that I need?

Also, is it recommended to attempt this replacement myself? I've seen people on here mention not to scratch the bodywork as removing the light cluster can be difficult...

Any tips / help appreciated!

Thanks

hi,

From what I can see in the manual it's a bog standard 5/21w bayonet brake / rear light bulb (twin filament)

As it's a standard bulb, I grabbed mine from Halfords - just look up the car in their flippy book and you get the code, couldn't be simpler

Thanks for the help.

How difficult was it to replace the bulb in the surround? I'm worried about taking it off and scratching the paintwork etc...
