so, this is my first post here, plz dont judge my English :)
last couple weeks, my sunroof has a hard time closing.
when i open it it works perfectly. but when i try to close it, it works really slow, and eventually the safe mechanism kicks in and opens again. i have to pull it with my hand while closing, and even then, it doesnt shut completely and the rear stays a bit higher than it should.
unfortunately my guarantee is over, and i was wondering if u had similar problem. it looks like it needs some greasing, but can i do something myself, or i have to go to fiat???
thx for your answers :)

do the following :

1. check that the rubber seals on the outside aren't damaged.

2. clean up the metallic rail under the ruber. I use long wooden or plastic sticks to pull the debrees from the rail.

3. put some dense greese in the rails, don't use liquid sylicone sprays, they don't last.

4. clean everything up again including the metallic arms holding the wind deflector, they should be slippy.

I completely agree with Tad, you could try on your own before bringing it to the garage - there's nothing you could possibly make worse (well, unless you have two left hands :D)

Otherwise, cleaning really is the key for keeping your sunroof in good shape. I never had any issues with mine, but then again I never leave it with ANY debris in the rails. If you park your car under a tree, that means a lot of debris and what's worse - the sap from the trees. If you don't clear it regularly, this stuff tends to pile, mixes with debris and completely blocks the water's way out of the rail. And water means problems :)

thx for the replies. i will try that.
Lyubohar, does it mater that i am a left-hander? lol
for last 2,5 years i have my own closed parking spot, and i always avoid spots with trees for the reasons u said, plus bird sh*t ;)

Your sunroof may needs a "self learning" process can easily done in any dealership if that goes wrong then you may need other checks.
(sorry for Greek : Η οροφη σου θελει εκμαθηση στειλε μου μηνυμα για λεπτομεριες)
Bravo sunroofs are kinda more reliable than Stilo so dont need to worry for the moment try the above solution

so. Thursday before Easter, i wend to the dealer to check the sunroof. when i tryied to show him the problem, i heard some terrifying noises from the sunroof and it stopped moving!!!

the plastic brackets which hold the front side of the roof and guide it in the rails were broken. and the guiding tubes for the wires were also broken

I ordered new rails which also include the springed wires which push-pull the sunroof plus the tubing system in which the wires are guided in. these tubes were broken from their position, and the wires were bended badly, so they were stuck.

my guess is that the brackets broke and couldn't move freely, causing the wires to bend from the tension, and the tubes to break, making a mess...at least they did an excellent job and everything works perfect, without any squeeks and broken clips, considering they had to remove all the inside roof sealing and plastic pillar covers.
they also told me that they did this job to almost every bravo with sunroof, but most of them were still in guarantee. he also told me never to buy a car with sunroof in Greece again, due to intense sunlight which ruins the plastics!!! weird

total cost 450 euros for the parts and 60 euros for a 5 hour work :(

My car is 4 years old with sunroof in a country where there's more sun than greece :)

thats why it sounds weird...who knows, maybe a faulty batch of sunroofs from webasto???
besides i have a closed parking spot, always on shadow

i guess i should start use it more often...i rarely open the roof so maybe it stucks
