Wasn't sure where to put this but just wondering if anyone fancied trading a set of the sport 17" alloys for my factory fitted set of 18's. Unfortunately they all need re painting due to some quite bad scuffing but have no major damage to them. Tyres have good life in them yet although there is a small chunk out of 1 of them but have been told it is nothing to worry about. Would pay extra for a mint condition set.

The 17s look small on the Bravo, stick with the 18s, get them refurbished, stick some nice rubber on them with 45 profile and rim protectors, you'll never look back................

I agree the 18's look much better I was just thinking the 17's would slightly be less bone crunching when going through pot holes lol. I would like to refurb them but the cheapest quote I have had so far is £240 which seems a little expensive and the closest place I have found that do a complete powder coat finish is about 40 miles away and would leave me without a car for a few days :(

fill and prepare them yourself, then get a local paint shop to spray them (y)

Too bad I'm a gazillion miles away from you.

PS: my brother has 20" rims on his insignia and it's a very smooth ride, so I'd say the wheels aren't necessarly the problem here, it's the suspensions (and the seats).

Hi Tad you are probably right about the suspension it has Eibach springs. Im sure it wont be a very smooth ride just hoping for slightly better.

I have attached photos of the wheels, as you can see they all need cosmetic repair.

Hi killahboo

Just wondered if the wheels are still on offer ?

How many mm's of tread are left on the tyres. im very interested as i just priced up rubber and it wasnt as bad as i thought it may be...

Well mine have done 5k.

And the only thing i have noticed on the wheels is on one alloy a very small portion of the diamond cut looks to have oxidised... andi cannot see any other damage.

I guess the real question is where abouts are you ?

I am in SW London, I dont mind travelling so depending on how far you live I am sure we could wor something out :)

The wheels are now gone. Thanks Omad.

I am enjoying the new wheels, there seems to be quite a difference over the speed bumps. I also noticed that the steering feels slightly stiffer with the smaller wheels. I have no idea what could cause that if anything I thought it would be lighter, maybe tyre pressures?

What do you think, i have just picked the car up from having the wheels refurbed.

What do you think ??

That looks minted!!
I've got 16s and was thinking of getting them matt black but i'm unsure if they would look a bit daft in black.
