Question: I've posted a link for a video below, is this the same display screen the UK Bravo gets, I may well be buying a 2.0 multijet on the weekend. Getting rid of my 2nd grande punto...and onto its bigger better brother

That's the configurable dash screen which, I believe, is only present on some European models - we have a fixed screen that looks different.

Flashing mileage indicates a CANBUS error - something didn't start up or acknowledge its presence properly. Usually a restart fixes this but if not, it can be "proxy-aligned" by a dealer to remove the error.

actually I just had that problem two days ago. Disconnecting and then reconnecting the battery fixed it.

i had this problem a while back.. on the 2.0mjet.. didnt seem to cause any big issues.. turned the car off and on a few times over a period of 2 days and it went away.. never had it on since..

I had it twice so far. The first time it was the same as you, it didn't cause any problem and it was back to normal after a while.

When it happened again this week, the blue&me stopped working and the steering wheel buttons didn't do anything, so I unplugged the battery to reboot the whole system and it was fine again.

see the strange thing is with that.. iv had the problem where the blue and me had decided to pack in and not allow the steering wheel controls to work but never noticed if the miles were flashing.. i just had to some how crash the blue and me system which was easy enough.. just tell it to play all the songs on the media stick in one go.. it doesnt like 8GB worth of songs all played one after the other lol!

i hate the blue and me system i think its rubbish for reliability, always forgetting where it last was and having to build the media library all the time if you turn the key on and off too many times like you would if you went to a petrol station but don't fancy taking out the standard head unit knowing that i will loose my steering wheel controls and the pretty good hands free kit.

You can keep your steering control if you get the proper adapter with your new stereo - I've been looking at replacing mine.

However, you would lose the Blue&Me handsfree, having to revert to whatever handsfree came with the new stereo - usually Parrot technology with an, eurgh, separate microphone.

Sorry Lads, I hadn't spotted the mileage error, I just meant in terms of the design of the screen i.e. the way the track player works, RobW what year is yours, is it on later cars? im looking at buying a 59/10 plate car. Thanks
Alex
