... until we try other cars and witness how bad they are...

Honnestly, I was at Seat earlier today trying the ibiza for my girlfriend, it's arguably one of the best choices in that category, but when I got back into my bravo, it was like I traveled to another planet, the interior's quality, the design, the details, it's light years away (ahead) from the ibiza and the leon. (tried the new polo and golf too, what a POS !)

All other bravos I see on the road are in such bad shape, 95% of them are entry models with zero option and driven by women that can't park without rubbing half of the paint off the bumper which makes us forget what a nice car the bravo was meant to be when it first came out.

I :worship: to my bravo today and pledged to take care of it even more, anyone else who share my point of view, speak out, show people what a nice car you have, this forum has been very quiet lately...

Post new photos of your cars, talk about it... do something !!

Rant over.

I almost agree...as much as it is nice...it is merely a tool to get me (and my mountain bike) from A to B without the need to walk...

Bravos are becoming much more popular on the road round my way and you are right, most are rather standard looking - but if it does what the owner needs then excellent...I've not seen any with scuffed bumpers and it's about a 50/50 split between male and female drivers - Central Scotland must have a better class of Fiat driver! ;-)

In my humble opinion FIAT seem to get it wrong in this sector.

You're right, every model I see on the road is the cheap/entry level, which looks absolutely rubbish. By FIAT pumping out these economy variants it looks like any other cheap FIAT on the market to other drivers/road users. I popped mine into a garge recently and they kept refering to it as the Punto.

Exposure has been low. Then FIAT never really create something stunning, it does look like a big Punto. They don't make a proper 'hot' variant, the 'Sport' makes only reference to the trim, not the performance. They have only made it in five door. The list goes on.

FIAT have got it wrong again. If they are ever going to break this sector and compete with Golf/Focus/Astra/A3, then they need to start from the ground up, new chassis, independant suspension, great engines, great trim (no cheap cheap levels in the range), better materials, better build quality, better warranties.

Until they take this sector seriously any car they produce will be a flop, particularly in the UK. The only thing they're good at are small cars, they must be over the moon as the 500 has been their saviour.

I've spent a reasonable amount of money to improve the way my car looks, but the truth is any Focus, Golf or Astra I've driven blows my Bravo away, dynamically it's flawed........

Just to add another point, over they years look at what FIAT produced in this sector and how they end up, look at the people driving them, the state of the owners and the cars, they all end up being beat up jalopies, if you don't believe me look at the state of the next Tipo, Bravo, Brava, or Stilo you see driving around. They all end up being cheap runabouts for council estate dwellers.

Twincamms, I can't deny the fact that the bravo will become (probably already is in the UK) a cheap jalopie for people who can't afford a golf or new focus but I don't agree with everything else you said.

My bravo in my honnest to god opinion is a great car, the only cars I've been in that felt better to me were in a much higher class.

I don't mind the chassis flaws, I like all the options I have in my bravo and love its style inside and out.

I hate the low end bravos that clearly look cheaper though, especially those with the standard 16" rims...

Its true Bravo entry models have verry bad interior. I dont think on design but on quallity. But Bravo wich cost 20k euro is verry good! I was sitting in one 1.9jtd in dynamic or something and interior delighted me! Exellent seats, good materials. Verry massive car. I think its not much inferior to Golf 5. But its much cheapest. I dont know for suspension but I prefer Bravo over Golf because of price, and over Focus because Engines. Fiat has turbo multiar and Ford only atmospheric Engines. In Croatia Bravo is definetly best buy in class. Sorry for my English.

whats that supposed to mean? I see & repair many many immaculate or very well maintained stilos (not my fav car) bravo's etc and respect the work that goes into maintaining stuff like tipos.
On the other hand I see nearly new 500's,Bravos etc covered in fag ash, dog hair and thats on the inside!

Different spec bravo models were aimed at different markets and this was clearly shown at launch. Personally I dont like the basic 1.4 engine but they are good for hire drive companies etc so yes they do have a place in the market.
Let us also remember the UK market is a fraction of sales to Fiat, they know they will find it hard to prise sales from ford and vauxhall etc but its not that important to them as other markets.

It's not important to them because they can't and never will crack it.

They don't have the imagination, foresight, determination to make a Sector C class car that would be better than the other mainstreamers, never mind our Japanese and Korean friends, face it, FIAT stink in this sector. Alfa aren't fantastic either, 145, 147, schifo! But at least they're having a good go at it now with the Guilietta, although I've seen a few nasty entry models on the road, why o why o why?

I had to get rid of my Bravo 2months ago and ended up in a C4.

I'm taking delivery of my new tj120 next week.

:D

Too bad you didnt buy 1.4 turbo multiair but this one with 120hp its great car. I am sure.

My Tipo and I take exception to your generalisation. I see more Astra/Focus being driven around by "council estate dwellers" than Fiats.

Out of the cars driven my my collleagues, A3 1.9td, A4 cabrio 2.0T, 530 - I would say only the A4 and 530 are better - but new they cost nearly double the Bravo's price. The A3 I feel is too plain, the model is very basic. A very 'safe' car - and I mean it won't offend anyones tastes because it is the automotive equivalent of magnolia paint.

Oh dear - I am the driver of one of the horrible, un-attractive entry level Bravo 1.4 Active models you continue to refer to as ugly and unkept - so no place for me in this thread - i didnt know Bravo snoberry existed - i do now.
