General Things You Hate About Your Bravo?

the light steering doesnt bother me tbh

another hate is that some of the cabin plastics are a bit disappointing... the plstic bit on the handbrake replaced last year when i got the car is starting to look worn again and showing signs of cracking

No lights-on warning when you switch the engine off. And the 1.4 petrol engine doesn't provide enough power.

Which 1.4 are you talking about? If you are talking about the 150/165 then you must be kidding, because it goes like a rocket, being just slightly slower than the main 2.0ltr range of sporty cars (ST's etc). I don't really think there is another 1.4 with that much power, only one i can think of is the Colt with the 1.5 turbo.

And if your talking about the 120, then you should have got a 150/165 :D

And the the lights are great as they are, dont have to worry about getting a flat battery by leaving them on! WIN!

what are you talking about

well it is quite a heavy car for a 1.4 :p

the lights turn on and off as you switch the engine on and off.... quite a good idea to me tbh :)

Drive home at night with lights on, switch engine off - and you're right the lights will go out. Get in in the morning, drive and your lights are still on - just like a Volvo!. Not a major problem I know but other cars I've owned have had an audible signal advising that you haven't physically switched the lights off.

I have had no grounding issues, the B2 easily goes over the spped humps round here.

The Eibach sales guy told me that a big mistake that most drivers make is brake when approaching speed humps, this makes your car more likely to ground/hit the speed hump. He said suspension is well designed, suprisingly resilient and you should drive over them normally...........

Actually, if you brake before, then accelerate, you get maximum front ground clearance. (y)

Bit like accelearing in a boat aproaching a low bridge to get more headroom

I tend to brake before reaching the speed hump then coast over it . Just wouldn't feel right to accelerate over it. My Stilo used to hit the speed humps quite often and therefore i've never been confident about missing them in the Bravo even though I cant recall catching any over the past 18 months.

My pet hate is the handbrake is offset for left hand drive and my wife sitting in the passenger seat often gets her hand scaped when I release it cos of the way she tends to put her right hand under her leg . Also the bonnet release catch is in the passenger footwell ( Not converted from left hand drive for the UK )

Indicators for me. Indicate right, turn left onto roundabout and it cancels. :bang:

Nothing else I really dislike,

Sadly, this is common to many make/models. I frequently drive other company vehicles and the occasional hire car, and many suffer with this problem.

Really? I've driven Skodas, Volvos, Hondas, Renaults, Vauxhalls (who do have silly indicators) and the Fiat is the only one it happens too.

It is a silly fault- if other manufacturers can solve it...

Ive not driven every car out there so can't include everything, but certainly the Renaults, Fords & Citroens i've driven don't have this indicator problem.

However, all the Fiats i've owned & driven have, from a 1996 Punto to my current 2004 Stilo. I think even if Fiat replace the stalk, it'll still do it. It's just how they are. Should've been sorted ages ago but not one of their highest priorities i guess.

I struggle more with indicators that work correctly now. As i hold the stalk on when it doesn't need it

1-Steering a little on the light side.
2-Drinks holders in the centre console not deep enough so dont hold a 500ml bottle well enough (used to own a Stilo and it had much better holders situated in the doors).
3-Some plastics look/feel a little cheap on lower parts of the cabin (now i'm nit-picking!)
I know no car is perfect but i think Fiat have done an excellent job on a very underated car.

So it was!

I definitley had a car in the past that had a lever for something in the passenger footwell! Hmmm...I'll need to go a trawl through my memory now!

Could have sworn it was that Punto, but you are indeed correct!
