Hi there, newbie here with a 1st post after reading the forum for a while...

I have had my Bravo 1.6 Multijet 105 Eco from new coming up to 12 months now and have done just under 13,000 miles. I have had a letter and a couple of texts from my dealer telling me it is due for its 1st service, but in the handbook i can only find reference to the 1st service at 21,000 miles, and it doesn't seem to specify anything along the lines of "or 12 months whichever is sooner".

Am I OK to leave it until 21,000 miles before my 1st service or should I take it in sooner? Thanks

First of all welcome.

I would be inclined to take it as read that it would be yearly or 21k miles. It always has been so far and I would reckon on yearly servicing anyway to keep the car in as optimal condition as possible, especially as it is new and in warranty.

A full service history might not add a huge amount to the value (although it does add!), it will help keep the car on the road much longer with less trouble (in theory).

Multijet 21,000 Mile Service interval

Hi I have this model first service is due at 12 months or 18000 mls. Approx cost of service is £200 hope this helps

The service interval for 1.6 and 2.0 M-Jet is 35 000 km or 2 years.
If the car is used mainly on urban routes or if the yearly kilometres travelled are less than 10,000 km, the engine oil and filter must be changed
every 12 months.

According to Fiat its only the 1.6 that has the 21k service intervals. The 2.0 is 18k, which is what my service counter is saying.

I had to contact them as there seems to be cnoflicting advice about it.

To be honest I think I'd prefer my car to be serviced every year regardless, not too keen on these huge service intervals- esp on a Multijet with DPF.

Cars with DPF - "The engine oil and oil filter should be changed depending on their actual condition, which is indicated by a warning light/message on the
control panel or at least every 2 years"

Hi

I have the exact same model as you and can confirm the following, I emailed Fiat at 12 months and they confirmed the below too.

Servicing is every 21,000 Miles or 2 years which ever is sooner.

I had my car serviced at 20,500 Miles when the car was 18 Months old.

I also received the text messages from the dealer which was Souls of MK - which is why i checked with Fiat.

Cheers

Mike

Cheers guys. Thanks for all your responses.

Looks like I can leave it until I near 21,000 mark after all, or at least until the warning light pops up!
