Hello,
Im very concern and lost about buying a Bravo 1.6 diesel dualogic.
My missus just got her driving licence and we are looking for small economical automatic hatchback. I went through Kia Ceed, Hyunndai I30, Citroen C4,Peugeot 308 but the Fiat seems the best option for us by specs, price, fuel economy and good looking but I am very concern about it specially when comes the reliability of Fiat. I have read a lot of reviews and comments online which many of them are positive but there is lack of information specifically about the Bravo 1.6 multijet Dualogic 6 speed . If any of you who own the same model or know someone owning one could you give us a feedback about the reliability and the fuel figures as they look impressive but specially on the reliabillity as this is everyone main concern.

Thank you in advance and I hope you all have great feedbacks about it and make me another happy and proud Fiat owner

Regards

Well i wouldnt say that fiat are any less likely or more for that matter to break down! its just one of those things!

My boss is driving a 105hp manual one and he thrashes it!! and it still returns in the 40's mpg

All i would say is dont buy a diesel if all you do is short journeys. again this is my opinion and im sure some will disagree with me.

Other than that i love my bravo its a great car.

Hi serifcheto
In November 2008 I took delivery a 120 mult jet Bravo dual logic dynamic. Living with the car has been easy; my daily commute is mixed driving of about 40miles a day using A, B class and motorway roads in to a congested area (Reading). My average fuel consumption is 52 mpg with 60 on a run at about 70 mph. In preparation for winter, I changed my front tyres (4mm) at 16,000 miles when they started to lose grip, remembering to put the new tyres on the rear as is the first to break away on a front wheel drive car. The garage fitted Michelin pilot 205/55 on the rear filled with nitrogen and rotated the wheels this has improved the ride no end. Driving home in the snow in January 2010 the onboard computer show a gearbox alarm and went into safe mode. This restricted the box to the first 3 of six gears. I phoned my local dealer on Saturday morning have an appointment for Monday. Car returned on Wednesday working ok the fault was a defective brake switch. The car is changing smoothly with no snatching now ,has the CPU been upgraded ?( I think is has )
No problems during the 16 months. On delivery the Headlight were adjusted ( Xenons Headlights fitted as an extra ) and the gearbox was checked for some rough changes on full power no fault was found. Our other car 1.6. Auto Peugeot 207 (2007) petrol returns 32 mph 14, 000 since new since the upgrade on the fiat there is no noticeable difference between the gear changes with the Peugeot. The fiat drove better in the recent snow.
Update my wife took delivery of her 500 duel logic on Monday 1-3-2010 if she is delighted with her little car.
I hope this helps
Peter

I cant vouch for the dualogic gearbox, but I have nearly done 100k in 3 years in mine (1.9 m/jet) and the engine/turbo are still working as they did when new, with no oil ever needing topping up.... (y)
