After reading the thread “how’s yours during the cold weather” I took my 57 plate 150 Multijet for them to check my clutch thrust bearing noise (now to be stripped under investigation) and the top suspension mounts are noisy (I thought this was a design problem, that we would have to live with)”Not so” they will be replaced under the 3rd year dealer warranty
So my advice ladies and gentlemen take your vehicles down to the dealers if you have this suspension noise, oh and it’s a common fault on the Grande Punto too, my dealer informed me

What's this sound, sound like?

what noise from the struts.. i got a creeking steering and knocking when wet.

Hi All

It’s a notch type creaking noise when turning the steering in any direction (almost sounds like the coil spring stuttering round with the strut) hope this helps. Oh and by the way I’ve already had both track rod ends and both antiroll bar links (these give a definite knocking especially on the dreaded speed humps) all warranty work, the cars only covered 21000 miles perhaps it’s the weight of the diesel engine.

I had written about a month ago about the front suspension noise when it's raining and now i will write about athe noise from my steering wheel.I have this noise when i'm trying to park my car (sometimes not always) and i noticed thar if i do circles in a parking lot(the way i can hear the noise for sure) ,when i turn the steering wheel it does something like a ''crack-crack-crack''.I took it to the garage and they told me that they will comunicate whith FIAT in Italy and they will find a solution to the problem.Until now ,did anyone take an answer to these two problems (the front suspension noise and the steering wheel noise)?

Someone has written for investigation by his garage about these two problems.Did he get an answer?

at last after a year of driving my sons 150 the garage has finally decided to replace the drop link,waiting for the parts.this only came about after i drove the car myself with the manager in the car to listen to the clunk every pot hole and speed bump we meet.
i did tell him if he couldn't hear it i was going to head office about it, this might have helped his ears to listen better. but it has been so loud with the damp and cold weather you can hear it over the radio terrible!!!

It started like i write above or it was doing this noise in every pot hole and speed bump from the begining?

All you who had your cars fixed by changing drop links,or silent blocks etc ,do you know if there is a technical order from FIAT Italy about these issues according to which they did those replacements to your cars?
Here in Greece dealers don't know anything about these noises (i was the first who told them about here in Thessaloniki).
