Hello everyone!
I'm a new member of the fiat forum but not new with Fiat!!! I started out with an 1989 UNO 1.0e (45Hp) which was, to be honest, a pretty terrible car when it came to reliability, but it always took me where I wanted (drove it with blown gasket and the oil leaking into the radiator for 40Km, parked at home to sleep then woke up next day and took it to the shop!!).
I currently own a 2001 Bravo 1.6 for which I have absolutely nothing bad to say!! It is a simple car, amazingly reliable and fast! But I think the time has come for a change! I waited for two years to see how the new bravo will go and now I want one!!! Before I go to the dealership (I live in Greece by the way) I need to ask some of you guys some questions. I need to learn from the owners as I simply don't believe a word the car dealers say!!

I'm planing on getting the 150hp sport version (NOT diesel). It is a very beautiful version (side and rear spoiler ftw!) and has pretty much all the extras!

First, I want to ask about the reliability and some common problems. I read the forum and I see that many people have problems with coolant leaking, rear light fogging up and some other issues. Are those single cases or should I be alarmed? What kind of reliability should I be expecting?

Second thing. I plan to add some extras when ordering the car. I choose the normal size spare Tyre which is only 100 euros more. Should i go for it? the other option is that fix&go which simply doesn't sound convincing to me. What do you all think?
Also, I'm going to order the good sound system (8 speakers + small Sub in the back). I've heard that it is quite good and the price is quite cheap. Anyone has it on their bravos? What is your opinion? I don't want to change the head unit as it looks nice plus I have controls on the steering wheel plus the USB.

Please let me know what you think and your personal experiences.

Spare wheel - yes.. get it.

I'm happy with the standard system. I'm not sure I'd be able to notice the difference with the expencive one!

As for issues:

Some fogging lights - not everyone has them. I don't. Others have had them replaced under warranty.

Steering wheel leather breaking up - a few cases of this. All covered by warranty.

Losing coolant - think it's on the earlier cars. Only a few cases. Someone could confirm it?

I had my B1 1998 1.6 SX for 10 years, sold it with much of the original equipment you'd have expected to have been replaced still in situ; exhaust, clutch, gearbox....
Before that a 1989 1.4 Teapot (Tipo) DGT, and before that a Regata 1.6.

I have had the B2 T-Jet 150 Active for about 6 months and I am over the moon with it.
Some minor gripes as in my first thread on here.
Biggest gripe; low front end. Watch those speed bumps!

We love our bravo 1.4 active sport. The only thing I would say is it is very under powered. Next time I would buy the t-jet.

The coolant loss issues have only affected 3 or maybe 4 cars on here, mine being arguably the worst. But it now looks to have been fixed, all under warranty, so i wouldnt let it put you off at all! I have no complaints bout the car at all!

Had my 150 T-Jet Dynamic 16 months. Love the car so much better than the Stilo it replaced. Only problem i've had is with the leather steering wheel which is being replaced under warranty on Monday. I'd go for the spare wheel for sure the fix kit is a proper kop out I will be calling the RAC if I get a puncture, that gunk aint goin anywere near my Alloys.

Don't expect frugal mpg I average around 30mpg with a max of 38mpg on longer runs ,although others claim much better why pay for the power if you dont use it. :devil:

my advice.... buy a new bravo

my dads got a 57 1.4 tjet its an excellent car
