Hello,

has anyone experience with the TMC Tuning Box for the Fiat Bravo t-jet?

The company is in Belfast

Regards
Tom

Hi Tom, this is Daron from TMC Motorsport, just to let you know that the kit for the 1.4TJet engine has just been released after a long testing period so there are only a few out there but all are running very well. I want to assure you and others on the forum that all our kits for petrol and diesel engines are of the highest quality and fully digital, we also don't use computer connectors on our boxes like many other companies do (these are not waterproof or designed to work in engine bay environments) , all our boxes have fully waterproof automotive connectors.
Again to reassure you and other members we only accept payment securely online with Google Checkout and we offer 14 days refund guarantee if you are not 100% satisfied. The 14 days begins when you receive the unit so you have plenty of time to fully test the product to make sure you're happy. All boxes carry 3 year product warranty.
We want customers to be confident in buying from us so if anyone has any questions we are happy to answer them. You can PM us here or call 0845 834 0019 local rates apply.
Tom in your case I would be happy to give 30 days trial period on the box so you can fully test it and if not 100% happy return for a full refund. I would hope that if you are pleased that you could inform the other members on the forum.
We have tuning boxes for the entire Fiat diesel range and for the Fiat/Alfa 1.4TJet petrol engine in Mito/500 Abarth and Punto Abarth as well as for all other makes and models of cars, vans and 4x4's. Visit our website for performance figures www.tmcmotorsport.com, under the Tuning Boxes section click on Premium Petrol and Diesel kits and select your brand of vehicle.
Thanks

iv read through pretty much all of your website and the box does sound impressive. iv e-mailed you asking if the box will work on the 2.0l 165bhp Multijet sport.

Reading through as well in your FAQ you mentioned something about some customers been able to have 4 different levels of power is this just increasing by 10% 20% 30% etc?

you also mentioned something about fitting a switch into the car to turn off the system. Im guessin you cant turn the unit off while driving as this would through the engine fuelin out?

cheers

hello,
im from romania,
i have a fiat bravo t-jet sport 150HP ((160 HP on Dyno; i have a kit of Induction forge motorsport and a bov bonalume.
can you help me? how many hp i can get it for my car with your tunig/tuningbox ?
tx,

Hi Craig, I just sent you a reply. As yet we don't have a kit listed for your car but it is in development and I'll check in the morning to see how soon it will be available.
Regarding adjustments only our box which increase performance by connecting to the injectors individually have self adjustment, all other boxes are pre-programmed for maximum power. The injector box also has the facility to be switched of by fitting a switch inside the car but this is a facility that I have never seen anyone use, everyone wants max power always available.
I will email you in the morning with an ETA on the box for your 165bhp Bravo.
I do have a Value Kit at £115 inc. vat and postage which will run fine on most Bosch common rail systems. If I could see a close up photo of your common rail and the sensor on the end of it, its quite possible one of the Value kits would do your job. The same 3 year warranty and 14 day return policy applies to the Value Kit. Thanks

tx,

I assume you mean 1.4TJet gasoline engine then this is the kit we are discussing above, it increases power to 180PS and torque +40NM.
This unit is extensively tested and runs very well. Its fully plug in with original connectors and fully waterproof.
Please let me know if you need any more info. Thanks

cheers ideally i want something similar to the first system since it sounds a bit more technical with more sensors.

which is the better box is it the pre-programed boxes? id prefer something with a processor.

just a qestion regarding 1,4 t-jet Sport, how does this tuning box work with the sport button in the car?

The extra power will be available at all times, the sport button to my knowledge on most cars makes the accelerator pedal more responsive and on some cars can make the steering more responsive just sharpening up the overall drive but it will have no influence over the box which will give the extra performance with or without the sport mode on.

The thing is that in Bravo's case, Sport button also increases torque with about 20nm (in addition to the steering wheel and pedal responsiveness, about which you are correct).

Thats fine it will continue to function as normal adding to the extra torque already given by the box.
The box adds extra power to the car without interfering with any of the cars original features or functions. They will continue to work as before.

 fair enough, I'm waiting for a "new member" to say he/she has one fitted and tell us how good it is. :D

The Fiat 1.4 Tjet box is only just launched, the technology is well tested in other brands of cars, we have sold many units for VW, Audi (TSi/TFSi) and BMW 335i twin turbo (all petrol cars). A very close friend of mine has one fitted to his BMW 335i for nearly a year now and the performance is incredible and he has had no issues with it, the reason he went for a box is that he had it remapped but every time it went into BMW for a service they flashed new BMW software to it and erased the chip, this is a common problem now. The power he gets with the box fitted he says is as good as the remap.

The reason I have offered anyone who wants to buy one 30 days trial is to allow them plenty of time to thoroughly test it and if not happy send back for a full refund, no questions asked. I don't see how I can be any clearer or fairer than that.

I also have never met or spoken to anyone who has contacted me on this forum ever before. I hope that when someone here does buy the 1.4TJet box and is happy with it they will write an honest review that will allow other members to feel confident in buying one. I understand that it takes time to build trust with new customers/forum members so I will do whatever I can to build that trust over time.

As said before 'if not 100% happy with any of my products you can return them in an extended 30 day period in original condition (in other words not damaged or scratched) for a full refund, no questions asked. I want people to be happy with my products and offer full technical support even after business hours.

Thanks
Daron
