That's okay, was just checking. I'm getting upgraded engine components fitted soon and remap, so I was just checking if it was at all possible to fit one of your boxes aswell.

Hey Daron, i'm very much intersted in you offer honestly.. but there are a few questions knocking in my mind... i'm in Egypt and i am not sure if i could find someone to install the chip, so how and where could i install it ? .. my second question is will the car get out of gurantee after installation ? .. and my last would be how much would it cost including delivery ??

Thanks in Regards

Hi, I will answer each question as best as I can:

1.Installation, this really is very easy, there are detailed photos to show exactly where to connect each of the sets of plugs (3 in total) if you are concerned you could ask any friend who knows anything about working with cars to install it. It really is a very simple installation. The most important thing is to secure the wiring looms away from hot or moving parts so they can't be damaged.

2.Vehicle warranty, the box can only affect warranty if installed on the vehicle when you leave it in to be serviced or have warranty work done. We recommend you just remove the box before leaving the car for servicing. Removing and refitting should take less than 10 minutes. No trace is left of the box having been fitted once you remove it so the garage can't tell it was on.

3. Cost: As per my previous post I am now offering all of our Premium Range tuning kits including the 1.4 TJet kit for £349 GBP including delivery worldwide to Fiat Forum members. Delivery to Egypt is with TNT Express and should take 3-5 working days.

I don't think you will find a better price than this anywhere. This is a special offer only to the members of this forum. Normal cost is £375.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards
Daron

I have just put my order in so should receive this shortly, planning to to fit next weekend and review.

I would first like to say the service from Daron and TMC has been excellent so far, but the proof in the pudding will be my test next weekend.

Looking forward to it, as this was my only feasible option for a map.

Re: TMC Tuningbox order placed

Order placed with TMC for the value unit. It will be going on my 1.9 M-Jet 150T. I will post some feedback regarding my experience. (y)

My tuning box (for 1.4Tjet 150bhp) was finally released by customs yesterday, and is now sitting under my desk (y)

Hopefully will fit tomorrow, so pics and a review to follow tomorrow night.

Thanks for your patience GibBravo, I have never had customs delay a package so long. Looking forward to hearing how the car runs :) Remember to put a tank of super unleaded 97/98 or some octane booster in for the best results.

I remember you saying you were fitting the induction kit too, the performance should be pretty impressive with both.
Don't forget to safely cable tie all the looms away from hot or moving engine parts so nothing can get melted.
Regards
Daron

Yes would be good to know how well they perform with 1.9 150 Diesel and what happens to your MPG.

Interested in the box, tis the reason I've signed up to the forum but it'd be nice to know how the mpg is affected by the increase. Specifically on the 150tjet but also on all models it supports :)

Edit: Oh and it would be nice to see what the change in 0-60mph and 0-100mph is.

This question has been asked a few times so let me try to explain:
The tuning box increases power so if the extra power is used constantly then the fuel constumpion will increase slightly but the increase in consumption should be small, if driven normally not using the extra performance fuel consumption will not change. The box only increases power when you demand it by pressing further down on the accelerator/gas pedal. On very light throttle the box is not doing anything so cannot affect the consumption.

As I have pointed out before you get 30 days to fully test the box and if not totally satisfied return it unmarked for a full refund :)

We want happy customers so our money back offer gives you plenty of time to do any tests you want to do. Remember every car is different and performance figures vary depending on the climate the car is running in, so if you live somewhere cold you will get better performance than someone running the same car in a hot climate.

That makes sense, you probably wrote it already but I read this thread very tired the otherday but only signed up today to make a reply.

Dont get me wrong, consumption loss or not.. I want this box ;)

Do you know anything about the 0-60/100 changes? Also, any top end change?

As I mentioned no two cars are ever exactly the same, you can get two identical cars from the same factory and one is alot faster than the other, I think alot depends on how its driven from new.
Even if I quoted you figures from another car they may be completely different from what you achieve, the best way is to fit the box and test your own car, that way the figures will be accurate, you will get a noticable improvement I can guarantee that and if not just send back for a refund no problems. I've never had one returned (y) That should speak volumes :D

Oh it does and I know you wouldnt give details like that as a garentee but 30bhp is a big increase so I thought it would be something youd want to brag about ;)

Stop trying to sell it to me, its already sold haha! Just a case of putting the girlfriend on the corners a few more times a week I think. Speaking of her, I actually let her drive my car.. I must like her I guess. She scared herself with it and wouldnt drive over 40mph after the turbo kicked in and rattled her, also revved my car to 4k rpm to pull away ¬_¬ We'll let her off because her clutch is so bad its all shes used to :D

Any ballpark figure you wanna throw around for the increase? At best? At worst?

I know next to nothing about the mechanics of car and I think going by what people have said I could fit the box myself as things go I'm pretty good with my hands but for peace of mind I'd get a mechanic to do it, looking at probably paying an hours labour I suppose?

The box will give an extra 30PS and 40NM as quoted, the thing is that folk on here have been saying the TJet standard is producing more than its quoted 150PS standard, so if yours achieves say 160 standard on the dyno then it should have 190 with the box.
Fitting is easy if you have a friend with a bit of mechanical knowledge ask him to help you. GibBravo just installed his by himself with one little hiccup quickly rectified, you should PM him to ask what he thought of installation or he may even reply to this thread.

The most important thing and I can't stress this enough is to safely cable tie up all the wiring so it can't get melted on the engine or caught in moving parts, this is vital. Otherwise its all plug in, just take time follow the pictures and double check everything before starting the engine.

30PS is a good increase, it's about 20% which is safe and won't stress the gearbox or engine. Any more and you would need to start looking at major mechanical changes like brakes/suspension etc.

Heh yeah when I told my housemate (has the 1.9Mjet 120) about the box, the first thing I said to him that I'd read was.. make sure you get stuff out the way that'll melt. He's considering it too :)

Ty for your replies bud, will let you know when I get round to getting one :)

Hey seen your interested, would definitely recommend, installation is very easy, takes about 20 mins, just remeber to plug in connectors right way up, easy to do it wrong.

As for 0-100kph i think book is 8.5 seconds, did a rough check with my watch earlier and now just over 7 (mine has a gsr as well, though not sure what mine does as standard) this is getting into golf gti territory i believe, feels very similar.

What is noticable is in gear acceleration, :D
