Hello guys. I bought my new Bravo Sport 150 t-jet about a month ago. I am very pleased of it, except that i cant get used to the 'soft' steering wheel. Even if i have the 'Sport' Option on, I still find the steering too sensitive for me. Most annoying is when car is on the motor-way, where even a small touch of the steering wheel will move the car to the side lane. Can this be modified? Can steering wheel be programmed to give an even more 'hard' touch than the default one? I ve read about sensors and available scanning software. Can any of these alter the sensitivity of the steering wheel?

What was your previous car? Did it have power steering? If not then the new car will take some getting used to, but you'll soon learn to love it :) (y)

Are you sure the sports button is suppost to have an affect on the steering also as it doesn't normally, it normally only sorts out the throttle responsiveness.

Jon.

Regarding the sports button and its effect on the steering I cant tell for sure. Its just a feeling.

I used to drive a Ford Focus and a Seat Leon. Both had some options in their software about changing parameters like this (steering sensitivity) so I wonder if could do the same on my Bravo..

I know on most Fiat models there is normally a 'City' button for the power steering, and I assume the Bravo has one also. Although this makes the steering lighter when switched on at low speed, when at high speed it doesn't make much of a difference so don't think that will help you much.

the city option switches of at 20kph automatically, its normal for fiat to be very light, took me a while to get used to, but quite like it.

(on the Tjet sport) The sport button tightens throttle response, does something to the boost (+30nm) and tightens steering response.

- got a sport myself... first half year I had it on constantly... then off for a year until now ... and when I turn it on occationally you really feel all three things happening!

Yup, the Sport mode on should put some pounds on the steering wheel.. on mine does.

The idea is.. if you want a 'relax' cruising feeling, leave the Sport mode off.. and direction will be soft especially at low speeds.. if you want a more responsive sporty feeling, then sport on.

I guess theoreticaly you could reprogram de steering wheel 'weight' in a dealer..

I didn't initially like the lightness of the Bravo's steering when I first drove it, but I quickly got used to it and now I love it! I hate driving other cars now haha.
