as hellcat says it needs to be done by the Examiner (flash Fiat computer)

its the same with the Grande Punto (trying to stop you DIYing as you can't turn off the light......

however someone on the GP section said theres went off after about a month (the car probably realised it wasn't going to get the trip to fiat it demanded) ;)

Mine came on at 30000km and then vanished when it reached 31000km.

Cheers.

not really to stop anyone doing it themselves but it can be used for earranty purposes & most of all diagnosic purposes.

Ello again T... :D Not having the service light re-set dont mean it hasnt been serviced though... it smacks of anti-competition by showing it wasnt done by a Fiat Dealer... and they dont HAVE to be... ere we go ere we go ere we go.... :p

I wonder if there is a sequence of buttons to press instead of needing a computer? I was always told my Alfa GTA needed computer to reset the service indicator, until I watched the dealer do it in 10 secs pressing 3 buttons!

Nope... if such a button press sequence existed people on here would know.

Thing is, how is a service light annoying you?

It's just a centimetre long "SERV" i'm sure you can ignore it.

IM just back from a special trip at my own time and expense to get that friggin thing reset....it came on,'service' changed to 'service coupon expired' i then got it serviced at the Arnold Clark dealer where i bought it, it came back not reset..i complained, they were phoning me back with arrangments to take it to another Arnold Clark dealer who could reset it,they didnt,i went on holiday, came back,it had gone back to normal display...... for a short time !! then milage started flashing .....along with blue and me,voice, usb, dash menu all non functioning.....THEN I CALLED THE ORIGINAL DEALER AND SERVICER BACK !! (n)
all's well again,10 mins it took but its all down to getting it reset if anyone else gets these symptoms.....

No such issues with mine and a dealer hasnt touched it since the first service, I've had the car 3 years now & 52,000 miles are about to clock up.
