Is there any known problems withthe starter motor onhe Bravo's
Basically the misus is working away from home this week and as a result her car was has been parked up since Tuesday Morning. She returned to it this morning (friday) to dri ome nd it didnt start, as in turned t key and nothing, not a whine from teh started motor or enything. Electrics and everything on teh dash illuinated.

She then called out a local mechanic who hooked it up to a booster pack and tied again stil nothing. So I am assuming its not a battery issue.

The mechanic guy, as far as i have ben told toched a few things and tried to start it about 6 times before it sprang in to life. The nachanic then left looking all chuffed but not able to give an answer as to what he actually done.

Is thre any know issues i.e seizing starter motor, weak relay etc.

Can anybody shed any light on this cause she leave on monday again for another week away!!

More than likely a relay tripping.Had this before. If it happens again tell her to shut door and lock as normal, wait 10 secs then unlock and try again and should hopefully solve prob, did with mines

Fiats are renowned for bad electrics and the new bravo is no exeption.Ive had my 08 since new last April covered just shy of 6k and had all sorts of trouble.Newest 1 being lights popped at the heater controls so only see half of them at night!! Had the non starting thing a few times, electric power steering failed twice, brakes failed 3 times, knocking from front which turned out to be bonnet not sitting on hinges correctly, drives side track rod end not tight and passenger side wheel arch trim loose aswell as subframe bolts loose, subframe holds engine and gearbox to chassis!!! clunky gearchange when cold but was told by spanish mechanic at Fiat thats due to being dogbox gears in 1st,2nd and 3rd,dogboxs are whats in rally cars so thats why guys report whining gears and clunking.Think thats it!
