| Bravo Stereo God what a day Vodafone came today to fit me a handsfree kit for my car (the full monty) 1.first of all could not get the stereo out 2.then stereo came out by only 1 inch 3.took dash apart to see if he could get behind the stereo to release it as it seemed to be stuck. 4.took all console out, then got stuck at the heating controls as could not move enough to get behind. 5. gave up and left me p***** off 6. said nothing he could do but stereo will now never come out. question is does the silver surround with the vents and city button function just pop off or is there any easier way that we don't know about. release keys no longer work past where it gets stuck. or do i have to damage the stereo to get it out and charge vodafone for a new one? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

| Re: Bravo Stereo I got the exact same problem on mine except mine was attempted by Fiat themselves. I took it to my dealer and asked them to remove it for me to install a handsfree kit. The tech' used the keys but couldn't get it out more that a few inches like you. Told me to go to the next dealership along the road as they may have the new keys for it (could have told me they were the wrong keys he was using before he started) Took it to the second dealer and they tried with the new keys but couldn't get it out any further than the few inches and told me that the springs behind may be bent and it's a full dashboard out job to get the headunit out now. Took it back to the first dealer to get them to sort they're 'f' up but they told me it wasn't a warrenty job or their problem as I asked them to do it as a favour. Complained to Fiat but they were no help as I hadn't booked it in to any of the dealerships so they had no record of anything being done to the car ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you find an easy solution to getting it out please let me know

| Re: Bravo Stereo What i may do is for them to pay for a new stereo and then i can rip the front of the old unit so i can get to the bits behind it and un release it from the springs and clips or make the access holes bigger where the tools go in so a screw driver should release it. it will still need a new stereo does anyone know how much they cost???

| Re: Bravo Stereo http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/FIAT-BRAVO-200...3286.m20.l1116 It's a good idea. Either that or attempting to jam a CD in the unit then taking it to Fiat and telling them the unit ate a CD. Maybe then they'll replace it free of charge.
