(T) warning light

when i turned on my ignition when leaving work today th below light apeared, i have not seen this light before and do not know what it means, can someone please help me, thanks.

That is the brake wear warning light, if it stays on and is red as it shows in that picture,then that means the brake pads need changing ASAP, best to take it back to the dealership where you bought it to get it checked out.

how many miles has the car done?

Either that or you didn't let your handbrake off fully!!!

Does anyone bother with reading the user manual anymore?

Does seem strange to have worn your pads out already, I've got 20,000 on the clock and not in need of pads yet - and I'm not one for coasting to a stop. Best to book it in to the garage to have it checked, perhaps a wire on the pad sensor has got damaged and is earthing out? The light usually only comes on when you brake, as the metal pad built into the pad needs to contact the brake disc.

Low brake fluid level!
