(T) gear box noise

hi on the way home 2day my gear box i think started to make a noise kind of grinding noise when the car is acclerating there is no noise but when you let off it starts and if the car is not in gear and just rolling still makes the noise with engine on or off can any 1 help is it box or clutch ???????

Have the same problem with gearbox whine (in 3rd), & difficulty in getting gears..
Took it to my local dealer who had the car for 2 days...did nothing except the air con & adjust the headlamps....
2nd visit(after complaint)their ''driver'' came out with me for drive...said there was a whine on gearbox & would look at the clutch....2 days later went to collect the car...was told ''nothing wrong with gearbox & clutch''..& to give it another 3-4000 miles...
Going elsewhere now..

What gears are you having problems getting it into? What is the feeling like when you try and change it into these gears?

My dealership eventually agreed that the gear change into 2nd and 3rd was horrible, even when it was warm...and are now going to be replacing the gearbox.

no having a prob with anygears but just got a noise all the time even when not in gear and engine off rollin down the road i have bin told it could be the layshaft bearing in the gear box cheers
