Annoying niggles

My bravo has started to show a lack of build quality, a few things have happened this week. First...

One of the slats in the rear air vent has come off and is dangling in the vent!

then......

Handbrake plastic thing that goes around the base of the hand-brake came off.

then.....

a clip for the top pocket of the front armrest sheared off .

I love the car to bits but it is little things like this that make you wonder if the vital components were built with the same build quality! (I doubt it because it drives like a dream!)

Also i fixed the hand-brake thing but does anyone know if i can get the other bits fixed on warranty? Just wondering because they are tiny things no-one apart from me would care about!

Dave

Re: Annoying niggles

I'd just phone and ask the garage if they'll do it under warranty! After all the parts have broken and now arent doing the job they were designed to do!

If you dont ask you dont get!

Yes, they've broken under normal use.

I've had a couple of daft bits fixed under warranty. Unless you've broken it... like hanging on the interior mirror then it's just a component failure.

Re: Annoying niggles

The air vent near the clutch come off while driving and sat under my clutch padel, image it ends up under my brake padel? scary stuff, I just super glued it back on, also a lot of rattles from both front doors, under front screen, every where, not sure what they can do to be honest but will ask them look at it when it due to first service in couple months time.

Re: Annoying niggles

Mine's pretty much rattle free. It's got a bit of an annoying one from the electric mirror panel on the drivers door which goes when you press it. I'll get it looked at sometime.

Re: Annoying niggles

Thing you start to notice with reasonably modern fiats, 90's and over etc is that in the whole they are mechanically sound and robust. It's just the rest of the car that isnt 'up to scratch' in terms of fixtures and fittings.

Get it all done under warranty as thats what it's for.

You find that fiat's are very DIY cars, mostly uncomplicated to take appart because they were put together in a simple manner.
