Well it had to happen I guess... went to open the sunvisor to the front section of the sunroof the other night and it only went half way back, looked up and it was sagged and had the mesh on top hanging over..

Spoke to Fiat on monday morning, they said they were aware of the problem something to do with a slightly too small ratchet thingy and that they would get it fixed asap for me. Got a call yesterday morning that the parts have arrived and they were so dam polite asking when was convieniant for me etc...

I gotta say honestly out of ANY place i've ever delt with Fiat Australia has been nothing short of A+++. The 24hour Fiat care number I've had to call twice the guy on the other end was polite, and really helpful. Both times wanted to make sure that the vehicle was fine to drive and even still offered to send a tow truck if i didn't feel comfitable driving it. Even after I had finished up lodging the fault with him about the sunroof he asked if there were any other issues with the vehicle or anything else that they could do to be of service.

The dealership I purchased the vehicle from in Southport (EuroMarque) are a top bunch of guys... seriously I can't recommend these guys enough to anyone considering purchasing a Fiat in Australia.

So yeh back to sunroof issue, I told them Monday would be best they said that was fine and to bring it in when I was ready and they'd have a car ready for me to drive out of there in so that it wouldn't interfere with my day.

Its amazing to receive this kind of service on a new vehicle compared to the horror stories I've heard from people who have brought new cars from other companies/dealers. I can gaurentee that the next car I buy is going to be from them after this one is paid off.

Sorry to hear about the skydome problem.

My car's at 8000 miles and I open and close the roof many times a day with no problem.

I would like to know more about your problem though, and if there's a way to prevent it.

Are you aware you can shut the roof manually in case you need to?

Ok own up - how much did they pay you to say that?

I wasn't paid anything lol!

I am serious about everything I said.

Well, as long as you're happy..

The 24 hour Assist number and roadside assistance is probably provided by a 3rd party and not Ateco themselves.

Troy.

Bingo, and I only know too well. Well mine was on the side of the highway in the sheering heat, the guy that rocked up wasn't even fully dressed and was half asleep, and obviously have never seen a Fiat before

I had a really nice tow truck driver when I had to get mine towed.. They told me about 1 hour for the tow truck to get there, 15mins later it rocked up lol. Nice clean truck, had his son helping him. Really nice bloke.. was from Prestiege Towing.

When he inspected my car to sign off the condition it was in when it was loaded onto the truck he couldnt find a single flaw in the vehicles condition, no scratches, no dings, even the underbody was in perfect clean condition.

Maybe im just on a run or something lol

I'm surprised you're happy that your brand new car needs to be towed.

But as I said, as long as your happy..

I wasnt happy that it had to be towed, but if it had to at least it was an outstanding experience.

It was a minor fault and was sorted quickly.

Seriously tho after driving my 88 croma for 5 years prior, this car is like no Fiat ive ever had... Its had 1 tow vs my old Fiat which was constantly being towed, pushed, kicked lol

Bah, I had my 82 Superbrava for 8 years (1992-2000), and apart from an intermittent ignition problem (in hot weather replaced ignition module), and the occasional hot engine starting issue (insufficient juice to the starter motor) I never had to get it towed.
