(T) Calling all T-Jet Sport 150 owners

bought mine in March - smooth gears... However when changing gears i often hear a "clunk" noise.... went to the dealer and his mechanic agreed that the "clunk" was a bit loud for a brand new car... we checked it on another sport they had ...same clunk sound... so i guess THATs normal

....otherwise smooth changes.

nah they called to organise getting it in to check it over. So its going in on Wednesday!

Well got the car back after having it checked over...and the guy agrees that the gear change is horrid in 2nd and 3rd gear once it has heated up.

So a new gearbox has been ordered from Italy (at a cost of £2500!!) and it'll be going in to get it fitted in a week or two!

I'm just glad that someone actually agreed with me and it wasnt all in my head!

The garage is trying to tell me that its normal

, but i would expect the gear change on a brand new car to be smooth and pretty much silent!

Dont know about t jet but i have 150 multijet sport the gears are abit stiff compared to focus i used to have but no crunching or noises try double clutching u shuldnt have to in a modern car but it may help the short term

Focus gearbox are ok but it was the clutch pipes that always leaked &gave problems

To be honest....no!

It still feels horrible going into some gears, into 5th at times in particular!

I'll let it bed in for a month or so and see what its like. I just dont think that a new cars gear change should feel as rough as it does!

As I said in a earlier post they are not a smooth gearbox however changing gear should not be difficult, have you been back to the garage to ask?

i test drove a 150 sport and his was doing this when cold but got better when hot. it only had 3k on clock
