| I have just bought a Bravo 1.4 Active in Epic Grey - which looks more browny to me !Anyway, drives nicely, but I have a problem with the accelerator pedal in that I get pain in my ankle whilst driving. Does anyone else notice this? I'm wondering if it is because I had to put more pressure on my old cars' pedal and not on this one. It is extremely light and I think I may be holding back on the pressure, hence causing the pain. I am 5ft 2ins. My partner who is 5ft 11ins, does not have this problem. ![]() Any suggestions? Thanks.

| hot hot tamale! | Re: Foot Ache I was going to suggest use the cruise control... but it's an active! What footwear are you wearing? I find the choice of shoe can greatly effect how much strain I put on my ankle. Also try adjusting the chair, so more weight is taken on your thighs.

| Re: Foot Ache Thanks for your quick reply ![]() I have tried adjusting the seat height, also the back. It seems easier, but only slightly when I move the seat back a little. But then, I cannot fully compress the clutch, as I have shortish legs. ![]() i think i may need to change my footwear as I have been wearing sandals. I will try something more sturdy to see if it does the trick. ![]() Thanks for your advice though.

| Re: Foot Ache Try different driving positions, adjust the distance between you and the pedals - move closer to take more of the strain from your ankles. I noticed when I drove newer cars that I was hovering my foot over the pedal instead of resting it (if that makes any sense) - causing strain on my ankle. Just moved slightly closer to pedals and solved the problem

| Thanks again for the advice. I never ever wear stillettos, can't walk in them let alone drive!! ![]() I do wear flip-flops when the weather is hot (hardly ever then!), which have no support whatsoever. I think I'll have to take 1 pair for driving and change at my destination. Will let you know how I get on.

| Tried deck shoes and changing the seat several times. to no avail.Had a word with my partner, who has had a look at the pedals. He has noticed that the distance between the pedal and the floor is more in the Bravo than in our old Toyota Carina E. He isn't sure if it can be done, but he will try to lower the accelerator pedal, nearer to the floor. He has notice a pain in his shin too even on a mile journey. So keeping fingers crossed. Will let you know what happens.

| Re: Foot Ache I've noticed discomfort in my ankle to and put it down to the lack of thigh support from the chair (the sport chairs are more supportive), had the car 2 months now and have adapted

| Re: Foot Ache The first week I drove my bravo, almost every single muscle in my legs was aching... it just takes some time to get used to it when you've been driving a completely different car for so long. | |||
