I saw my local dealer today re a 1.9 150 TD Dynamic price.

I was offered 0% finance (no good as I have a loan) or they can knock about £600 off the total price. I'm waiting to hear for a px price for my Croma. But on the face of it this doesn't sound good. Might have to look elsewhere. I've used this dealer for years and have always had a staff discount (which i can no longer get unfortunately).

Surely I can get better?

Yeah, that does sound awful. Does that mean they would give 'no' discount with 0%??

Tell them the credit crunch is on and you have an internet connection... ;-)

Had a similar problem with my local dealer, no budge, no compromise, no middleground, bought elsewhere and then drove it into the same dealership that could have had a sale. Simple! Ask the question, do you want my business or should I look elsewhere?

There is another local dealer nearby that I will try, probably tomorrow.

Shame really - I've been using this dealer for 8+ years now (other cars were on the fixed discoount, so no real negotiating to be had before). i just expected better. They are due to call me back to give me a px price for my Croma so I can see if I can try some more then.

This place reckons they can knock £2700 off the price...

I got £800 off list price with no PX, I have try couple dealers and this is the best deal, unless you buy ex-demo or pre-reg car, don't think you will get more than that off, good luck anyway.

I got 3k off mines but was pre reg 08 plate but only about 3 weeks old before i got it and it had 18's on it aswell and only couple of miles. Haggle, haggle haggle is all im saying :D

Even better than the one I mentioned previously. Will probably use that as a means to haggle.

cheers

I've look at this site before I bought my bravo, the problem is they don't offer the 0% finance, and I work out, by the time I put my options on it and take a loan elsewhere it works out more than buy from my local dealer, then have to worry about the aftersales service or whatever I get the 5 years warrenty etc, so this site is good if you got cash, but if you paying cash anyway, i'm sure you will get a good deal from your local dealer.
