Strange readings from the trip. Mine shows 52-54 but when filling up and getting real values from litres/cost it is in the region of 45. Took a gti today which was fun (202bhp remap ), poor bloke was really trying as well. The 19s with 35 profile 225s helped, must get the bodyroll sorted next.

WOW!!
Re-map today.
70 miles there, average 42.8 computer reading
70 miles back, 58.4 mpg.
Standard BHP (ROLLING ROAD) 160

similar figures to mine, what was/is your torque reading?

Check your readings against real time cost per mile (i.e fill up and calculate). What speeds were the readings at?
The problem with taking to and from readings is that, although the distance is similar, one way could be uphill, although not noticeable, with the wind against you and the return downhill with a tail wind etc. Try for a full tank and compare with your previous calculations.
I must confess to using the performance more now it is there than before when I would have to work it harder. The biggest single noticed difference for me is now at 70 when you put your food down to overtake the response is instant and plentiful up to 90 is almost instantaneous whereas before I would have to drop to 5th. Also it is now quite happy to accelerate from 40 in top whereas before it just didn't want to be in top at all at 40.
Well worth 200 notes of anybodies' money

The torque reading was 276 ft-Ib, up from 206
The bhp reading was 204.1 up from 160
They were the figures from the rolling road p/c

I'm with you on the motorway driving, so much more pleasant

I can answer that for Quiz as he is having Forum access difficulties at work.

Red Dot Racing in Watford, we had our cars done on the same day.

Re: Diesel economy

Likewise, RED DOT. Travelled up from Bristol and well worth it, if only the seats were more thigh supportive
