| Open Rear Door Warning Hi all In yesterdays hot weather I experience an open rear door warning on the display panel together with the interior lights remaining on, I checked the door and opened and closed it but still the fault remained When I arrived home I tried to lock the car but found the system was being overridden by the open door function (it would not lock manually with the key ether) I disconnected the battery earth lead and left the power off for a while but on reconnection the same fault occurred I even disconnected and reconnected the door electrical connector in case of a poor connection. As the night drew on I was thinking how to secure the vehicle tried the fob once more and it locked I think it was mainly due to the temperature drop I have had a similar occurrence but with the mileage flashing (Hot weather at the time) FIAT have said LID Let It Develop Great eh! Regards Kelvin W

| Re: Open Rear Door Warning sounds to me like a faulty door switch.... as for the flashing mileage it needs "proxy aligning" by the dealer

| Re: Open Rear Door Warning We had one the other day with a similar fault. In the end I think the guy's traced it to one of the terminals in the connector on the catch hadn't been secured properly and worked itself loose over time. Failing that, it's likely to be a faulty switch in the catch. While it's not 'urgent', I'd still pressure your Dealer to check it over for you.
