1.4 120 T-jet Active Sport.

Hello!

I kno these sort of posts have probably come up every day for a while, but sorry!

Anywho i've had my brao ordered for about 5 weeks now, its now in the country, so hopefully not long to go before i get it!

My questions are this, bcause well to be frank the dealers seemed to not have a clue (I wouldnt have bought the car if i didnt fall in love with it straight away!)

What sort of exhaust do i get in the 120 active sport?

Do i get the red brake calipers?

Finally, does the gearbox/handbrake arm rest come with all cars because im sure i've seen some pictures with this missing.

Anyway, any help will be appreciated!!

Re: 1.4 120 T-jet Active Sport.

Cheers mate!

Was worried about the arm rest as it was so damn comfortable in the test drive

Ahh im not too worried about the pipe or the calipers if they dont come with it, then they dont come with.

Might aswell ask here then

How easy is it to paint the calipers yourself?

I know you need specific paint, halfords do it i believe, this wont muck up my warranty will it?

Same with the chrome pipe really, if i buy a exhaust end from halfords or something and get it fitted will that affect the warranty? and if so how easy is that to do?

Sorry, im not really into modding of any sort, though i do regret not going over these two things with the dealer and getting him to find out all this.

Still its only minor things!

Re: 1.4 120 T-jet Active Sport.

In THEORY it could invalidate your warranty if their is a problem with the brakes if you paint the calipers, because in THEORY heat wont dissipate from the brakes as quickly! But the same could go for your insurance if it was a problem with the brakes that caused an accident.

But thats worst case scenario! Its unlikely to actually cause a problem! Its easy enough to paint them, you just need to make sure you mask over anything you dont want painted...and you need a steady hand!

As for the exhaust trim, you can buy the identical exhaust trim from Fiat if you go to the accessories section. Its only a single exhaust as opposed to a double which is on the Sport, but its essentially the same bit of kit! It wouldnt affect the warranty at all as far as I'm concerned!

Haha, sounds good!

Right one more before sleep.

Once i get my car, if i want to get the bigger exhaust or w/e.

Would fiat have to install it?

Re: 1.4 120 T-jet Active Sport.

Hi,

In my country (Romania) the front arm rest is optional in the Active version and there is no Active Sport version (altough you can get the T-Jet 120 on the Active). But this differs between countries. However, I think the armrest can be fitted at the dealer if anything.
