question about locks

Well just a simple question.resently my fathers new car (bravo) was "robbed" ,if i can say so.someone destroyed the front, left lock(drivers door) in a way that the rear door (port baggage) opened and thngs were stolen. My question is: what can be done for the lock now?is it necessery to change all 4 locks, the wheel lock and the key?all this would cost over 400e and im searching a way to avoid all this,as all the other locks are ok.If we suppose that the lock is not fixable(that's what the service said) is there a way that i could change only one lock?i'm a bit desperate.

aditional info : i am from greece and the car was bought in 2008.
thank you

Re: question about locks

Im sure you could change just the one lock, but you would need a seperate key for that door.....

Re: question about locks

Talk to a locksmith near you. He can get a new lock and build it to your original key. No need to have differant keys and no need to go to main stealer.
If you take out and fit the lock your-self, he should charge you between £20 and £45 to build the lock. If he were doing the complete job, expect to pay £75 to £110. these are guesstamates as prices will depend on area's and country.

Re: question about locks

Does your insurance cover you for damage?

The lock is usually operated remotlely isn't it? How was the car broken into? Photos? Deadlocked these cars should be very secure!

Re: question about locks

you can recut any bravo door lock to fit your key, so you only need to replace the damaged lock.
