suspension

My car has just reached 3K (150mjet sport) so thought i would have a little blast. I was rather dissapointed, when braking hard the car was squearming all over the place, and at speed on corners the front would dip right down and then bounce up. Is this normal? my previous cars are a 156 and a few "sporty" fiestas, none of these cars done this!

Is there an upgrade suspension kit?

Re: suspension

Not experienced anything like that with my mjet sport and i've fairly flung it through a few corners and often have to brake hard on the country lanes I use to get to and from work. Trip to the dealer me thinks...

Re: suspension

What tyres is it on?

Mine has the 17s and it's fine. Check pressures are on the higher value for spirited driving.

There is some nodding going from brakes to power to brakes but certainly no squirming.

Re: suspension

Not sure about the brake, but jumping from my Stilo JTD to the Bravo Mjet Sport 150, driving on the same road to work, same speed attack to the bend, I find the Mjet over-steer badly compare to my 3door JTD, the car only done 400 miles, would the suspension settle down after a while?
Another thing I find, when I test drive the bravo at my Dealer, I tested the dynamic as they dont have the sport at the time, when I got my sport, i find the suspension on the sport seems to be a bit harder than the one I tested, did the sport has different suspension set up compare to other models?

No, sorry, I meant understeer compare to my stilo, also the steering seem to be so light even the city botton wasn't on. There were no feedback what so ever.
I think so, they are standard tyre supplied by fiat is it?

Re: suspension

The feedback isn't actually that bad once you get used to how light the steering is. The feedback is still there - it's just not as obvious as the whole system is lighter.

Both on standard suspension, the bravo is less wallow, I give it that, however, when I turn in to bend at speed, I can feel what the front wheel doing in my stilo and adjust my steering, in the bravo, by the time I get any feedback from the steering wheel, my front end already pointing the wrong side on the corner, put it that way, scary~~~

I hope so, as I said, only done 400 odd miles in it, shouldnt really compare it with the stilo which I done over 30k in it and on the same road everyday!!!

i am on 17's as well, I had another blast this evening, and i think that it is only at high speed that the nose diving thing happens, because I had a play on some fairly tight corners today at 60 ish in the lanes and i did not notice it at all.
I am also going to give the brakes a little more time, i tend to drive very lightly on the brakes maybe they have not fully worn in?.

Nope, mine is on Bridgestone Potenza RE050A (which is a shame as I much prefer Conti's to Bridgestones)

Re: suspension

The conti's you need to wear in. If you don't put enough miles on them when they're new they can dry out and crack.
