| Bravo Alarm Is the price for the alarm on the Fiat website the price including fitting? Secondly do you know if the install it so it uses the same key fob as the car or, by the looks of the photo on the website, is it controlled by a completely different fob? Thinking of getting the alarm installed after a few work mates have had there cars broken into recently.

| Wish I had sports seats | Re: Bravo Alarm The Fiat alarm does not include fitting, the dealer will quote you a separate price. My dealer quoted £300 but later agreed to do a deal. I refused because I found out the Fiat alarm requires the use of a 2nd fob which is a rather backward way of working. Independant alarm fitters can fit a well known make of alarm with more features and get it working off the original Fiat key fob from about £199 including fitting. Obviously check with your fitter that they do it off the same fob and it's worth asking if the internal sensors can be disabled quickly if you leave a pet/child in the car or travel on a ferry.

| Forum Moderator | Re: Bravo Alarm I would recommend fitting the Fiat meta system, its made specifically for the car & there is no need to take any wiring through the bulkhead. As for fitting time,2 hours is sufficient for a neat & tidy job. I have fitted loads & never had a problem fitting or any complaints from customers.

| Re: Bravo Alarm Hi all, Just a quick couple of questions as my Bravo arrives in a couple of weeks; is the meta system cat one? And why two fobs? Surely the dealer fit alarm can be integrated onto a single fob if other 3rd party alarms can do this.... Cheers

| Wish I had sports seats | Re: Bravo Alarm @StuartB, my guess is that the Fiat alarm fitting instructions don't show how it can be run off a single fob (most dealers would follow the instructions) or that it simply doesn't support running it off one fob. The standard dealer-fit alarm for the Bravo is kind of basic compared with similar priced brands such as Cobra. Take the Cobra 3868 for example. It has good specs, extra modules can be added, upgrades your cat 2 Bravo immobiliser to a full cat 1, and a bit of extra wiring allows it to run off the one fob. Prices from about £105 in shops, £65 "new" on ebay, plus fitting.

| Re: Bravo Alarm Have got the Meta alarm on my Bravo, was put in free by fiat but was part of a deal i had with them, It has got its own keypad as the alarm wont activate with the original keyfob, new one has the original features of the keyfob but of course arms the alarm as well.
