Has anyone wondered why the track names on your USB stick are shown on the instrument panel display rather than the stereo's own display? The stereo shows "Media Player" all the time which is a waste of LED pixels! The track name on the instrument panel is only shown when the track changes (for about 10 seconds) or if you rummage through the menus and ask it for a reminder.
Surely the media player should show the track name and cycle through the ID tags (artist, album) and the time into the track. It's much safer for the driver (no fiddly menus), is displayed constantly, and the passengers will be able to see the information too.
The second "quirk" (I think it's a quirk but you may disagree) is when you turn the ignition off and remove the key the stereo remains on. It would be more convenient if it turned itself off as it saves having to press the button for 2 seconds, otherwise it will drain your battery slightly if left on. I think the majority of manufacturers have the stereo turn off when the ignition is off or key is removed.
Maybe there's a hidden option to address the above 2 issues?
The last issue is either a bug or a fault in my stereo. Sometimes when I start the car from cold there's no sound from the stereo. The volume is up and mute is not active, but the radio, media player, and Windows voice is silent. Sometimes it comes suddenly after 2 minutes. Sometimes after 2 hours.
I haven't found a pattern to it so I'm stumped. Perhaps someone else has experienced this?
BTW, which Bravo model comes with the larger reconfigurable multifunction display? (Page 7 of the car's manual)
